The 96 team was real good, but this team plays unreal defense & they present match up problems at every position. Davis is a game changer on defense & this team is very efficient on offense. I know anything can happen in sports, but I cannot see this team losing. All 5 starters are projected to go in the 1st round.
35-37 (~95%) on Free Throws versus the Hoosiers is the definition of efficient. That game is MUCH tighter if they shoot closer to their season average.

Again, you're either not a 30 year fan or you have long-term memory issues.
The 96 team was stacked w/ NBA players. First, they weren't "one-and-done" freshman like now. Antoine Walker was a junior. Tony Delk and Derek Anderson were seniors. All 3 were legit 1st rd draft picks. They also had Nazr Mohammed and Walter McCarty. And again, they were upperclassmen. They were so good, eventually lottery pick Ron Mercer was a bench player.
They destroyed everyone by an average of 20+ points to a 34-2 mark. They absolutely annihilated Wake Forest in the sweet 16 game who was led by senior Tim Duncan.
Defense? That Ky team had a ferocious full-court press that made teams wear down. They also knocked down 3s much more efficiently.
This '12 Ky team is very good. But they'd get blown out by 20+ by the '96 team.

I think Walker went pro after his Sophomore season and Derek Anderson tore his ACL in his Senior year, so roster was a little different then you say, but you are right...they were loaded as well. I think it would be better then you think, but man that press was crazy good as well.

I am 80 years old, and have been a strong follower for Kansas, but this Kentucky Team has it all together. Win or lose, these kids are great players and good students.
