iupu-ft.wayne closed last season with 6 wins (8 ats wins) in a row
before losing in the 2nd round of their conference tournament. they
started this season well, winning 6 of first 8 games, losing twice by a
single point. they opened this season with a road game against dayton,
trailed by 9 at the half but kept on playing hard and eventually lost on
a buzzer beater. they are deep, as in 8 games this season 6 different
players led them in scoring at least once, while their 4th yr senior
kibiloski was second in scoring 4 times without being their best scorer
in any game. they have to keep on playing unselfish basketball against a
solid illini defense. most of illini scoring is coming from rice and
bertrand with rice doing most of the damage. rice hasnt played at all
last season and in his last game he spent 38 minutes on the court
(season/game high) and recorded his season high in points and rebounds.
collectively, illinois played catch up basketball all night long against
unlv and came all the way back to win it by 2 after trailing by 10 at
the half. it was their first road game of the season, and they are going
on the road again to play georgia tech after this game. i am on
