This Zags team is on the brink of their first Final 4. They are going to be nervous as all hell. Meanwhile X is hot and has nothing to lose. This line should be closer to -3.5 and ML -220 IMO. Anyone think that Gonzaga easily covers the big line?

They could but I expect it to be a final possession kind of game. Zags squeeked by last night vs a really cold shooting west Va team, Xavier has too much fight and heart to quit in this game, 8 points way too much. Zags might win but close.

These kids aren't going to be worried about previous teams. I don't think school history matters as much as people make it to. That's things for fans to worry about, not the players. I'm friends with a few division 1 athletes and I can tell you that they don't concern themselves with any of that stuff. They're worried about 1. winning the game, and 2. proving themselves.

Xavier has beaten teams this tourney (MD, FSU, U of A) because they played bigger than those teams. They dominated the paint which opened up shots for Blueitt.
This WILL NOT HAPPEN against Gonzaga!
The Zags feature a 10-man deep lineup that has 4 7 footers. Xavier has not faced a player like Karniewski before. As long as he has his touch down, he is going to eat them alive on the inside, or get fouled and end up hitting free throws.
Like I wrote in a previous post, Zags are going to roll this game. I would be surprised if Xavier was able to take the lead AT ALL during the game.
My Final Score: Zags 85-Xavier 45
-8.5....PLEASE KEEP DROPPING I'LL MORTGAGE THE DARN HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF are you talking about? The BOTH have the same thing to lose, a trip to the FF. You think just because Xavier is an 11 seed that they don't want it just as bad?
I have no opinion on who wins/covers (yet) but I'd get it out of your head that X has nothing to lose vs. Zags under more pressure. I don't buy that angle for one second.

After watching both games last night IMO i dont think Gonzaga is 3 possessions better than Xavier. Better yet, I'll buy 2 points and take the Muskateers +10.5 that's now 4 possessions. West Virginia killed the Zags on the offensive boards and I think that Xavier will compete on the boards just as well. Remember, they rolled Florida State the tallest team in the tourney.
With Bluitt and Martin Xavier has the talent to make some 3's and force the Zags to defend the outside. West Virginia was 5/23 from 3 land. Zags shot 32 FT'S and only made 21. And, only made 4 of 10 3's. Xavier coach Mack is a good one and has the Musketeers running good sets on offense and playing a really good Zone on D.
I also like this O'Mara kid , he's a battler and although Karnowski is a beast, I think that O'Mara will play him tough. IMO, Zags -6 should be the line. I'll grab the +10.5 and enjoy the cover and possible upset by Xavier.

I was actually at the Zags/WVU game last night. A lot of those balls were bad bounces for the Zags. Balls that slipped past them. While I'll agree, WVU beat them on the boards, Xavier is no where near the scrappy defense that WVU is.
Heck as a Zags backer, I am so excited we got Xavier in the next game. A team that once figured out will be easy to beat. Zags will use a nice dose of inside shots with Beast and Collins, then when Xavier overcompensates for those big guys, Goss, Williams, and Perkins are going to light up San Jose like it's the 4th of July!
Can't wait for Saturday to get here. I'm telling you folks, unless the spread jumps to 15...TAKE ZAGS. SELL THE HOUSE, SELL EVERYTHING YOU HAVE AS ZAGS ARE GOING TO SKULL THE XAVIER MOUSEKATERS!

Peaches...I hope you save some cash for the down payment on your new apartment. You do know that money management and discipline is the key to all successful wagering. But, since you see this as a 40 point victory, I'd recommend the ML.
Maybe, your on the right side. But, I'll take my chances on a small wager getting the 10.5.
Good Luck to us both.

I actually don't even bet that much. Maybe 100 here, 200 there. Maybe a 30-40 dollar parlay here and there. I don't bet seriously, I bet for entertainment, though the losses def. do hurt. More a bruised ego hurt, than the money missing from my wallet hurt, but I digress.
This Zags team is THE TEAM to beat at this point. Xavier has had a nice little run, just like Michigan had a nice little run, and South Carolina had a nice little run too, before Baylor whips them tonight.
Zags have guard play, Zags have big men, Zags have a bench, Zags have height, finally Zags have experience. There is no other team in the tournament who can lay claim to those four things. Maybe 3 of 4, but not all four.
The Arizona matchup scared me a lot as a Zags fan, because Trier is a beast and the revenge factor. Now that isn't happening, as I feel 1000000000000x more confident facing this Xavier team, than facing Arizona.
I have been disrespecting Xavier all over these boards. And for that, maybe I sound like a jerk. But I just have so much confidence that Blueitt isn't going to continue to play like Carmello Anthony/Kobe Bryant. Kid has been hotter than I have seen a player since maybe Kemba Walker. Now I think Zags know this, and contain him. Force someone else on Xavier to beat you.
I just don't see it happening. I hope you all are right and the spread drops, but I doubt it dips anything below 8.
