GULFCOAST CHAMPIONSHIP - FGCU VS MILWAUKEE - WRITE UP

Guys,

I very rarely write up on this website... But I actually attended and sat on the floor the the semifinals last night of these two teams... FGCU vs San Fran and Milwaukee vs Evensville...

Absolutely shocked at this line tonight of FGCU +2.5...


Milwaukee should have ran Evansville out of the gym last night and it came down to the buzzer...  Evansville only size 6'10 Mockevicius literally played 2 minutes in the second half and they hung with Milwaukee... Why do I bring this up - in comes an FGCU squad that is loaded with talent down low and on the boards that can hang with milwaukee... Morant is an absolute freak on the offensive boards - and Hicks provides great support off the bench...

Guard play - Sykes is an amazing talent for milwaukee... saw him go spud webb at least 3 times last night... But in comes the back court of that sweet 16 run for FGCU...Thompson and Comer are extremely experienced and help control this whole offense... With the depth and advantage on the boards this will create a lot of second chance kick outs for these guards who can shoot the rock....  Big advantage in my opinion for FGCU

Now where is this game?  It is 3 miles from the FGCU campus... it was a great crowd last night and completely one sided for FGCU...  Vegas might not call this a home game but I am telling you it is... Felt the refs became influenced last night also during the FGCU vs San Fran game...

Again take it for what its worth but I am astounded that this game is +2.5 FGCU......

Also failed to mention sykes likes to pentetrate and dish... the fgcu bigs are very long and great rim protectors

4 hours before tip and radio saying large amnt of tickets sold... gonna be a large home crowd as expected... cant wait for this tip

rough start so far

Down 15 - 0 to start game... place is loud they missed like 5 bunnies... settled down and now +6... they are deep and played strong in second half last night.... im adding more...

Regression should set in... 25 percent shooting for fgcu and they can shoot rock (should pick up like second half last night)... gotta try and get another foul on sykes...

They look like a different team out there tonight. No offense, but they look AWFUL. Nerves? Missing shots that Middle Schoolers make. Not impressed and embarrassing that I have a dog in this fight.

Gulf has great guards. Wisc came to play and simply played harder and straight up kicked their a.sses. Some awful basketball tonight by Gulf. My high school would've been in this game against them tonight. Lose and move on. Next!

I think they set a record for missed layups tonight. Absolutely atrocious. I'll fade them rest of the season after witnessing this display. Team couldn't even hit a layup
