SU winners: 1 OT record: 0-1 Record on the open: 1-2
Leans: UMass +1 La Salle +5
add Virginia Commonwealth -1.5 (-105) vs. Georgetown -VCU has not played well in Puerto Rico, but I think they are matched up with a very overrated team today. The Rams press will lead to at least a couple easy buckets, despite being against a veteran point guard, and GTown's inability to score will make those baskets even more important. If Markel Starks gets in foul trouble the game will be over, so that's what I'm rooting for with the new rules in effect. Those rules clearly do not favor my side here as VCU is very physical and does not shoot FTs well, but I think the GTown zone will give the Rams a bunch of open shots and they have three guys who can knock them down consistently. Harvard +6 (-110) @ Colorado -Depth is a strength for this Ivy League team, which isn't something you can say very often. Colorado has always had trouble on offense and if Harvard can limit the easy buckets inside I think they can win this game with some decent shooting. Tad Boyle is one of my favorite coaches in America, but his team lacks scoring when the jumpers aren't going in at alarming rates and even at home I doubt that happens because Askia Booker isn't scoring and there's too much pressure on likely NBA lottery pick Spencer Dinwiddie.

add Massachusetts +1.5 (-110) vs. Clemson -Don't like Clemson, they've gotten a very fortunate draw to this point beating a Temple team who is way down from where we're used to seeing them and the same can be said for Davidson. They are going to try to slow the game to a standstill and I think they will struggle to make that happen because they won't score enough. UMass's athletic big men can exploit Clemson's projects inside and I think it'll take a huge effort for CU to win this title.

Not even sure what to say...

add La Salle +6 (-103) vs. Providence -Friars are my hometown team, but if you saw them fall so far behind against Vanderbilt to the point where they needed a 17-0 run to win a game against a squad that probably doesn't make the NIT makes me think PC isn't where they should be just yet. They are still working things out with rotations and most importantly chemistry, but La Salle is a team of Philly guards who will make it very tough to win nevermind cover a full two possessions. PC is a lot bigger inside, but the Explorers can play a bigger lineup than what they did in their tourney run by using Steve Zack inside if needed.
