GL today Warner.........I'm with you on Ga Tech, for a lot of the reasons you mentioned. I'm just not sold that there is that much difference in these two teams and six points is asking for something out of a team like Northwestern, at least in my opinion.

Also on Mizzou.....think their defense will give G'Town a lot of trouble.

Keep up the nice streak.....it's fun to be going good

My rationale may be skewed, but I don't think GT has a 0% chance of winning. It's not exactly a coinflip, as I think NW should be favored, but until they make the strides to qualify for the NCAA tournament this is the type of game they always lose. I've been rooting for NW to make the plunge into the bracket, but they just haven't done it yet and it's usually because they lose games like this. Winning and covering the 5.5 are two entirely different things, too

I thought the line would be -7.5 or -8 in favor of Ohio St.... VERY INTERESTING!!!!!

Just a quick question for insight.

In football, the home team usually gets an automatic 3 points in their favor to affect the line. Is this the same in basketball? If so, how much is the point difference?

 

What is the number one stat to look at with two teams? Is it offense efficiency or points per 100 possessions or something else?

Hey GWarner, wondering if you have any insights on Long Beach State @ Washington...to me Washington is the best in the nation at blowing out teams that are less athletic than them. I dont know too much about Long Beach State though, any wisdom would be appreciated.

Great record so far.

Ohio St -4 1/2.  Both of these teams played Florida.  Florida St lost at home by 4.  Ohio St wins by 18 at Florida. Hmmmm.

I would argue it's a bit higher than football, but it's hard to say because each fanbase is different. Duke can be up to 7 points, while others may be right around the 3 you mentioned on the gridiron.

Efficiencies are used for total projections more than individual wagers, imo, as I play games based on feel rather than strict numbers. I think the matchups of what teams want to do compared to what their opponent will allow them to do is the biggest thing

LBSU loves to push the pace so I was originally interested in grabbing a bite of the OVER considering how UDub loves to run as well. I'm a little concerned about UDub's defense coming to play tonight as they're far improved from last year judging by the way they locked down Sparty in Maui. I think we see a high-scoring game, but I'm not sure who covers

careful with that logic, because that usually means FSU covers here. I'm also interested to see the line dropping, but I'm not going to get involved
