Bet it last night
I lost on Boston U vs NE. A game where senior guard Jordan Roland scored 39 points while playing the entire 2H with 4 fouls. He is the leading scorer in ncaab. He averaged 14.6 ppg last year so he's a good player but expect him to come down to earth.
The Huskies run a motion offense, a ton of movement away from the ball and multiple passes till you get the open guy. They have a lot of new faces and this type of offense takes time to learn.
This wasn't the case vs BU. Roland took over in an iso fashion. If he can pull a "Kemba Walker" in b2b games then hats off to him, and I'll eat crow.
Harvard is ridiculously deep, with their 9 top scorers returning, loaded with seniors. Coach Amaker is one of the beat coaches in the ncaa imo, coming from coach K's tree.
Defensively NE struggled to contain BU for the most part. Harvard's guard play is superior to NE so I think they will be overwhelmed with the step up in competition.
It's a cross town game, minimal travel and there should be close to a split fanbase in Boston.
Revenge? Maybe, this is an age old angle that is losing it's luster over the years so not too much weight for me but it can't hurt.
