1. These are 2 teams going in different directions - Cal is shaping up for a deep tournament run and ASU has been disappointing most of the year. Cal coming off a tough loss against Arizona that they had won if it wasn't for some madness at the end - This is a great position for them to come up with a W.
2. The value in the line is great due to the Arizona loss - If Cal won that Arizona game this spread is probably 2-3 points higher even where it is now at 4.5.

I would live to do this, but when I post the thread, there are still over 10 $$$$'s still open. Unless I wait to post the thread the next day, there is no way I could do that. Plus, it takes a really long time to input and sort and re-type the standings. I am about to get started on it in a little while and its only 7:51 AM on a Saturday where I live. If I was getting aid to do this, I could maybe figure out a way to do it, but I am doing it all for free and on my own time and often it is not my #1 priority for the day. It would be great to have the Standings there as the 2nd post every day, but 90% of the time there are still several undecided $$$$'s, so an incomplete Standings page is pretty useless. Also, I just don't have the time to be on top of it at every second. Got a lot to do......

Why change up on a good thing.
SAT TAR HEELS -1 vs. Duke
Let's face it. Duke is in a catch 22. To beat Carolina they need to run. They can't run because they are only playing 7 deep. If they run, they run out of gas. If they play slow, then Carolina pounds them inside. No way this should be a 1 point spread.
In my opinion, Carolina is 68% or more to win this game and the line sits at basically a pick.

Players that follow teams are proving to be "sharper" than the Vegas opening lines. Cal currently being -5 is proof of that point. I have only been here a few days, but I have noticed that some pretty good opening lines have been offered here.
On to point #1. I had a discussion with a friend on the UNC/Duke line. My friend had his own sports service in Cal for 11 years and I respect his sports knowledge. On Tuesday of this week, we discussed the Duke vs. Carolina line much like they would, I assume, in Vegas when coming up with opening lines. I predicted a UNC -3 and he predicted UNC -1. We both bet the open last night at -1. We were both correct since the line did open at 1. That's the only fact that scares me on this game as Vegas surely knew opening at 1 would draw only Carolina money. I hope any of you out there took the -1 yesterday, but I see this as an easy cover regardless.
The point of the thread is this....this is the most effective and productive thread I have seen on this site. There is no riff-raff talking about fixes (Dribble, yes you are being called out...but I doubt you would be in this thread.....it's too productive) and VERY LITTLE negative and "I told you so" talk when someone loses a pick.

Thanks Butta. I appreciate the offer. The issue was whether we could get the Standings post up as the second post of the day, but its not possible because when I post the thread, its usually around 7PM, PST, and there are a lot of games still pending. Even if I was on the East Coast, I couldn't do it. Thanks for the offer, though.

$$$$$ Pick today (1-2) so far...Tennessee Martin -2...if you followed me, you cashed on Austin Peay the last 2 days as I saw history repeating itself--high seeds in Conf.Tournaments playing much looser than the low seeds who had a whole season riding on this week...I mean imagine if the Phillies could have made the playoffs last year by beating the Mets and Nationals in September? Who might start choking in the middle of that? Ridiculous post season format but it creates all kind of mental scenarios...
So they win a game, then 2 but they'll still get too many points until they take down the top seed, Belmont and get notice because it's March after all...
So now what? Well what usually happens is they run out of gas, it's 4 games in 4 days including a high speed OT last night, and the glass slipper breaks in the Final...but even better the lines finally over adjust and now they're a 2 point dog to the #2 seed???
Sorry, but reality usually sets in finally-in a regular season game this line would be 10...how many times in basketball have you seen a team make a huge comeback in a game and just when they get even, fall way back? Because they used all their energy getting there, take a breath when they get there and the better team regroups and stomps on them...
Survive and advance can happen once in a while like 1983 or Syracuse but most times it won't...GL
Extra play-Stanford +14-I get a team facing a young opponent who finally got a big win, in a huge let down spot while my team blew a game they should have won easily and they're getting 14? Sign me up...

I went to double up on Rutgers and saw the line moved from +2 to -2. That was a 4 point swing in 2 hours. I think I will just stick with my +2 for .1U
Same thing happened with me, it was showing +1.5 on my site at 10am central, I went to bet it and it dropped to +1 before I could hit submit....I took the +1. Went back 30 minutes later to put more on it and it was -1.5.......I said screw it and let it fly with what I already had.

dominated in the first half and needed a big second half to pull away from the
Bruins. If Oregon tries to sleepwalk
through the first 20-25 minutes of today’s game like they did on Wednesday the
Ducks will get blown out of the gym, and we expect the Trojans to come out with
a ton of intensity in the final home game of the year with a season defining win
on the line. USC not only comes in with
revenge from an eight point loss in Eugene earlier this year but the Trojans
have lost a whopping 11 straight games to the Ducks and are in a prime spot to
end that drought this afternoon. Oregon
has been surging for the last month plus, winners of four straight and 10 of

Hey guys thank you for the Texas pick yesterday, it was a little game of biting nails but we pulled it at the end, thank you. I did some homework this morning to share with you guys and I found an interesting stat. here it is
This is based on conference tournaments games only.
The underdog team has gone 27 wins 12 losses and 1 push, so almost 70% the underdog team has covered. So with this saying I would throw out the top seeds and go with the underdogs. Let's see the record today after the tournament games are over.

Hey guys thank you for the Texas pick yesterday, it was a little game of biting nails but we pulled it at the end, thank you. I did some homework this morning to share with you guys and I found an interesting stat. here it is
This is based on conference tournaments games only.
The underdog team has gone 27 wins 12 losses and 1 push, so almost 70% the underdog team has covered. So with this saying I would throw out the top seeds and go with the underdogs. Let's see the record today after the tournament games are over.
Read that Minny suspended 3 starters or something of that nature and Rutgers is getting their best player back. You have to be insane to put $ on Rutgers but I'm going to ride and see what happens lol gambling at its worse let's see how this turns out! Rutgers -2! Tail or fade @ your own discretion lol. GLTA!

Iowa St played great perimeter defense the last 2 games...albeit against lesser opponents. They'll gonna need to defend on the perimeter at top notch for this game as well. Question of course will be whether or not they can hold the KU offense to under 80 points...which will be key at keeping this total under. I see KU scoring 70-75 even on senior night and at home.
What score will Iowa St end up at as they prep for KU's revenge game? KU will be pumped...for many reasons. Senior day. Revenge. Last KU defeat: Iowa St. I'm not sure the Cyclones want to try and run up and down the court with the Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse. Slowing it down to weather the storm may be the best way to go...as least it will appear that way early on. Points will be scarce in the first half. KU will pull away late considering the fire power and revenge factor they have going for them at home. 60's scoring until KU finally pulls away in the final minutes.

Even on the higher end I'm only getting a total of 141.
