OK, let me get this officially posted:
$$$$ = Washington/Oregon State UNDER 155
Oregon State is a defense-first squad and they play a malleable, 1-2-2 half-court trap/zone that is VERY confusing to teams that are not ready for it nor are built to deal with it. Washington is a run-first, attack-attack-attack team, but they are very young and can be pushed around a little. I always say that the pace of a game is dictated by the home team and/or the better team. Well, OSU is the home team, and they are at least equal to Washington at this point, IMO. OSU is trying to make a late run at the NCAA Tourney and UW is coming back to earth, probably ending up in the NIT after being in first in the Pac-12 for the first half of the year. This total is being heavily influenced by what happened in the Oregon/OSU game last weekend, as UW and Oregon are comparable in how they play. The biggest difference is that this game is in Corvallis and not in Eugene. Also, Gary Payton Jr., the undisputed leader of Oregon State and probably the most important player to his team in the entire Pac-12, picked up his second foul 6:00 into that game and EVERYTHING just fell apart for OSU at that point. Oregon started flying around and Oregon State, without their PG and floor leader, stupidly just came along for the ride and let Oregon do whatever they want. Tonight, I see Oregon State being brutally stubborn and forcing the game to be played at their pace, which is slow and deliberate. The Beavers REALLY need this game and their only way to win it is to subdue the Huskies’ attack and keep the game as a half-court game. I expect Washington, with Andrew Andrews and a bunch of teenagers, to be confused and frustrated by OSU’s trap and pace. Oregon blew out OSU in a high-scoring game last weekend, but Washington is nowhere nearly as good as Oregon and they are easily confused with all the young kids they have on the floor. The stakes are just too high for the Beavers to not play their game tonight and I think Oregon State controls the pace all game and this game stays under the 155 easily.
Good luck everyone.

Thanks, bandit. I have always shut down after the first weekend. I've always found that they way to do well is get to KNOW a certain conference and how the teams will play against each other. Once they get out of their conference and play other teams in the tourneys, you never can honestly know how they will match up with those teams or how they will play. I found I was losing money every year as the NCAA Tourney moved along, so I decided that I need to shut down my account after the first weekend, and it has only been good for me.
Not sure if anyone will take this an run with it, but I know others have many times in the past on CBS and the results were just never as good. I have never thought you can come up with LOCKS in MLB, so ending after NCAA hoops makes the most sense to me. Thanks!

No, those are the full records. The thread has only been going for a little over 3 weeks, and not everyone goes with 4 $$$$'s per week and some people haven't been picking from the beginning.
Everyone will have different numbers of $$$$'s based on how many they do per week and how long they have been participating. The Standings are based on a MINUMUM of 4 $$$$'s made so far because I can't post everyone who has made 1, 2, or 3 $$$$'s because we are now over 100 people who have made at least one $$$$.
Does that answer what you are looking for?
Thanks

Also, let me point out that this is the first time I have run this thread on Covers. I ran it for a decade on CBS before they closed down their message boards.
I always run it only during CBB season. I only bet CBB and CBB has always been the sport that has had the best results on here, and also the sport where people are able to weed out a few LOCKS per week. There is value in CBB lines unlike any other sport, IMO.
The O O O OG's are the guys who were over on CBS with me for years. There are probably 30-35 guys from CBS who have found their way over here in these 3 weeks. There will be a lot more. The old thread on CBS used to get over 100,000 Views a day, over 1500 posts, and over 100 LOCKS posted per day. There are A LOT of OG's floating around out there and they will eventually find their way here, I bet.
I have all their old LOCK (Covers made me chance the name from "LOCK Thread" to "$$$$ Thread") records, but I always reset each person's record each season, while keeping their old records. Many people have made over 100 LOCKS/$$$$'s over the years, but I don't always agree that records from 5 years ago matter that much today, so I just use their results from this season of CBB.
Thanks for the questions. I hope this helps.

No problem, GoodTimes. I shut my account down every year after the first weekend of March Madness, so I will stop the thread after that weekend too. The 'values' are too hard to find when the games are so scrutinized in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, IMO.
Thanks and looking forward to your contributions! Post a $$$$ or two if you see a play that you think is good enough!
