Thanks, bandit. I have always shut down after the first weekend. I've always found that they way to do well is get to KNOW a certain conference and how the teams will play against each other. Once they get out of their conference and play other teams in the tourneys, you never can honestly know how they will match up with those teams or how they will play. I found I was losing money every year as the NCAA Tourney moved along, so I decided that I need to shut down my account after the first weekend, and it has only been good for me.

MLB is a f******king grind. I agree, not like football or hoops at all where you might get like 5-6 games a week to just unload on. Bears know they were down at half last time and underestimated this team and need to play a full game in order to win here. Bears are coming off two losses to two better teams (Wichita State and Loyola Chicago who is surging). Drake is coming off a loss at Bradley which has no talent at all. The recent competition level differences combined with the Bears at home make this a solid play. Missouri State is tied for 6th in conference and a win can help keep them out of that first round Arch Madness game as well. I always run it only during CBB season. I only bet CBB and CBB has always been the sport that has had the best results on here, and also the sport where people are able to weed out a few LOCKS per week. There is value in CBB lines unlike any other sport, IMO.
The O O O OG's are the guys who were over on CBS with me for years. There are probably 30-35 guys from CBS who have found their way over here in these 3 weeks. There will be a lot more. The old thread on CBS used to get over 100,000 Views a day, over 1500 posts, and over 100 LOCKS posted per day. There are A LOT of OG's floating around out there and they will eventually find their way here, I bet.
I have all their old LOCK (Covers made me chance the name from "LOCK Thread" to "$$$$ Thread") records, but I always reset each person's record each season, while keeping their old records. Many people have made over 100 LOCKS/$$$$'s over the years, but I don't always agree that records from 5 years ago matter that much today, so I just use their results from this season of CBB.

1. This is the time when Wichita just bludgeons these lesser teams to death at the end of the year in case of the rare occasion they need the at large bid. In other words, they want to destroy the spread as much as you do.
2. Wichita is currently the 3rd ranked defense in the NCAA.
There are only 13 teams in all of college basketball that score less points a game than Loyola Chicago. This is a massive disparity that should cause the spread to be covered even in a worst case scenario that Wichita has an off shooting night.
3. The last time these teams played in the final days of January, Loyola was down as much as 30 points with 6 minutes remaining in the game.
Wichita has won their last 3 games by an average of 31 points after allowing Northern Iowa to break their 43 game home winning streak - They will continue their angry play tonight against a bad Loyola team tonight and cover the 12.5 points easily.

Total agree data from 5 years ago doesn't hold a lot of value. I now understand this thread has successful history, but you had to hit the reset button when moving from CBS to covers. I always run it only during CBB season. I only bet CBB and CBB has always been the sport that has had the best results on here, and also the sport where people are able to weed out a few LOCKS per week. There is value in CBB lines unlike any other sport, IMO.
The O O O OG's are the guys who were over on CBS with me for years. There are probably 30-35 guys from CBS who have found their way over here in these 3 weeks. There will be a lot more. Be very careful with that Northern Iowa team. I watch more MVC than anyone and I can say that team is a true Jekyl and Hyde. Combine that with the embarrassment my team, Indiana State, is trying to overcome and the fact that Indiana State is playing for the 6th seed in the conference tourney (which saves them from the first round on Thursday) I think this game is hard to cap.
Totally understood however, if indy state can win this SU, I'll give it to them. A squirrel needs a nut from time to time. Like I have said earlier, I have these constraints and if a team can overcome such constraints, I don't mind losing at all. Matter of fact, I'll even throw in a trophy for balling so well that beats all the stats, numbers and figures.

Drake is 0-11 on the road this year. Missouri State beat them on the road earlier this year by 9 after a 50 point second half. Bears know they were down at half last time and underestimated this team and need to play a full game in order to win here. Bears are coming off two losses to two better teams (Wichita State and Loyola Chicago who is surging). Drake is coming off a loss at Bradley which has no talent at all. The recent competition level differences combined with the Bears at home make this a solid play. Missouri State is tied for 6th in conference and a win can help keep them out of that first round Arch Madness game as well. They will bring their best game against Drake tonight and it is senior night! Line opened at 7 and is now sitting at 5. I think they cover either one.

This is a rematch of a January 27th game in which Lehigh knocked off Colgate 79-70 on its home court. Getting a win on the road will be a challenge for Lehigh but they have room to improve! In its win they turned the ball over 21 times despite their 9 point win. They also tried to send Colgate to the line early and often committing 20 fouls in this game. Offensively these teams are pretty even on a ppg basis, fg%, and 3 pt shooting. But I like teams that can hit FT's and Lehigh does that at a 73% clip (including 17 for 22 in the first meeting). Defensively Lehigh enjoys an edge in rebounding, blocks, and steals per game.

Bounce back game after last night's debacle. We have a surging San Diego State squad heading to Laramie on Wednesday night. The Aztecs are the cream of the crop in a weak MWC but currently find themselves on the edge of the bubble with zero margin for error.
SDSU is one of my sleeper teams heading into the dance...that is, if they make it in. A major reason for the Aztecs' tenuous situation is due to an awful start in non-conference play. That's a thing of the past as they've won 13 of 14.
The Cowboys should have an advantage playing at altitude but have been rather non-descript at home. They hitch their wagon to guard Josh Adams, who averages 24 ppg. Normally this would be cause for concern but the Aztecs are 4th nationally in scoring defense. They can shut down a one man show.
Wyoming shoots the ball better than the Aztecs from all parts of the court but defense travels well. Also, the Aztecs should dominate the Cowboys on the boards with Spencer, Shepherd and Cheatham having a physical advantage over the Wyoming front court.
Bottom line...I'll take the better defensive team in a must win game - especially when that team is just flat out a better basketball team.
