His bookie must be Carlos Slim, the telecommunications magnate from Ole Mexico , and also the current richest man in the entire world.  I also doubt that even he would take that kind of action . Hence anyone with that kind of money, would deem that to be foolish to risk that kind of money in one night of gambling. Also, anyone with that much money, would never get to that point if they constantly risked that much in such a short time frame.  That alone is a good enough reason why nobody should EVER believe that ANYONE on this earth would ever bet or take  a bet of such a large amount. I would bet my whole roll that no wager of 100 million or more has ever been placed anywhere in the history of sports betting.

Who CARES what his bet amount is, he can put whatever he wants. A winners a winner and a loser is a loser. If you don't like it then just ignore it. Trying to be a hardazz (especially over the internet) just makes you look like a clown.

"A martingale is any of a class of betting strategies that originated from and were popular in 18th century France. The simplest of these strategies was designed for a game in which the gambler wins his stake if a coin comes up heads and loses it if the coin comes up tails. The strategy had the gambler double his bet after every loss, so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake. The martingale strategy has been applied to roulette as well, as the probability of hitting either red or black is close to 50%.

Since a gambler with infinite wealth will, almost surely, eventually flip heads, the martingale betting strategy was seen as a sure thing by those who advocated it. Of course, none of the gamblers in fact possessed infinite wealth, and the exponential growth of the bets would eventually bankrupt "unlucky" gamblers who chose to use the martingale. It is therefore a good example of a Taleb distribution – the gambler usually wins a small net reward, thus appearing to have a sound strategy. However, the gambler's expected value does indeed remain zero because the small probability that he will suffer a catastrophic loss exactly balances with his expected gain. The likelihood of catastrophic loss may not even be very small. The bet size rises exponentially. This, combined with the fact that strings of consecutive losses actually occur more often than common intuition suggests, can bankrupt a gambler quickly.

anyone can get lucky and go 9-0, i do it about once a week everytime I hit a parlay, and is not very hard to hit a 9 or 10 teamer when you play all moneylines and favs. that's basically all he did

the most ludicrous aspect of this douches threads is that he expects people to believe that a bookie actually exists in the entire world that would pay half a billion dollars to someone from winning bets, or that anyone exists that would even take these bets to begin with, or better yet, actually be able to afford to.  even if he hypothetically won that much, the bookie would never pay up and dude could and would do nothing about it.
