Was some tough calls that went against UM tonight... but they also were on the receiving end of calls versus Syracuse... or have UM fans forgotten about that?
It was a great run and season for UM. Am glad to see the program get it in gear again. It can only make BIG10 better and will help basketball nationally. But please spare me the refs thing...the refs are often a double-edged sword....this time they got the bad end

I admit, Lou had some bad no calls to but not nearly as many. The fact is that on the biggest stage you shouldn't even know that they are there. They are not to be part of the story, just officiate the game. The best officials are the ones you never hear about. When you haver people talking about the officials after a game then there is a problem. I understand that they will not get everything, but tonight was rediculous. It really reminded me of they replacement officials in the Green Bay/Seattle game.
How do you miss goaltending that hits the backboard? I saw that live with no need for replay. How do you miss a kicked ball in the open court? How do you give a foul to the wrong guy when the guy literally tackled (undercut) him. I don't mean to sound "un PC" but he was the only white guy with a beard that was lying on the ground UNDER the Michigan player. Yet they got that wrong?
Too many too list. You jut can't have that on the biggest stage of collegebasketball. Hats off to Louisville. This was a great game! I just really wish the official put in the effort that the players did. It could have been EPIC!

Syracuse was really one bang bang call that went Michigans way
Today was entirely different. How do you miss a kicked ball, a goal tend, and easy block. I am not trying to be a homer, but do you see the difference between a bang bang play (questionable) and just flat out "how did you not see that calls" (blown/missed).
I'll say it agaiin. Officials may not have costs Michigan the game, but they definitely hampered their chances. Michigan did get the majority of the bad calls. However, the officials also did not sit the best player in the country for 12 minutes.

If you think that last call cost Syracuse the game you are sadly mistaken. Michigan won this game hands down. They completely outplayed 'Cuse and that is why they won. If anything, thank Belein for taking his foot off the gas and giving you life. |

You mean this:
Damn son, I remember when I was young and would cry about the officiating when my team lost or I lost money. The fact is that that last call was a bang bang play. It definitely looked like a charge live. After (and only after) looking at the replay 3-5 times you still can't say for sure. The block on CW was a bad call. However, Hardaway got hammered on a 2-1 and no call. Burke was getting pushed all night.
