What are you talking about? They played for the national title in 83 and 84. They had won plenty of NCAA games before Sampson. Guy V. Lewis won a heck of a lot of games back in the Phi Slamma Jamma era.

I don't know I see the best cappers like kc backing Houston but Duke has one of the best teams I've seen in a while. I think I would go with a low scoring game but Duke is hard to fade. Houston too they dominated that Tennessee team which blew my mind

No Doubt Duke is talented, Flagg is the real deal #1 pick 18 year old Star. The Final 4 lights will be on and I like the Experience and Defense of Houston and their ability to get in your Kitchen and make it a mess.
Houston only lost 1 game in regulation time this season and that was vs. Auburn. The rest of their Losses were in OT.

Yess I agree but total coach advantage duke coach could not coach a 3 grade team unless he had the best kids! Lol and he would lose any way you freaking kidding me you can’t draw up an inbound play seriously!! I coached for 10 years and I know I could do better smh!!

Seriously bro be smarter than this! Duke LOST that game , 97% probability of winning it with a minute left.. nothing but a choke, coaching malpractice at the highest level.Your great coach couldn’t change his offense the whole game to score in the post, he got bailed out by some 3’s the whole game.

And they needed and got offense inside in all those games! And they out rebounded Duke’s big guys by 11! But Duke didn’t have Clayton Jr who won’t choke so if Calvin better have a plan B tomorrow.. they were more than fortunate about 8 things didn’t happen in the last minute and that’s because they had 2 guys against 5 all night!!

Houston’s culture found a way. Some ppl don’t understand that and you won’t be able to explain it. Ppl bitching about Duke choking are failing to account for the fact that Duke is a team led by teenagers whereas Houston has 22-24 year olds across the board. Game pressure got to Duke. Something they haven’t felt in quite some time. Houston has been in that situation multiple times and found a way. BOL on the last play of the year regardless who you go with
Don’t let the last play affect the next play

This is the correct take. That win was won in August and September, it was a culture win. Duke not playing in a competitive conference did hurt them. Reminds me of all of those Zaga teams coming out of the WAC. Always the most talented but not many wire to wire games to prepare them.

Hard to bet against this Tough Resilient Houston Team who can beat you up in many ways.
I don’t see Houston folding like Auburn did in the 2nd half. Florida was struggling to keep Auburn off the glass in the 1st half and then it looked like they ran out of gas and turned it over. Houston does not run out of glass gas. Roberts is not hurt and he will not vanish like Broome.
I can’t bet against Coach Sampson with shooters and I won’t bet against you.
Great Season
Good Luck in MLB
