How does a team not score a single points in over 8 minutes?

Is that the record in college hoops? That's insane

Um..Arizona State yesterday....they had 6 points with under 8 minutes to go in the 1st half...

That's first half though. Their last score was 8:50. That's unreal

If I had a nickel every time someone asked that.. Funny thing is, it's happened a ton this year with teams going on 10 min+ scoring droughts. Covid, motivation, tired legs due to lack of depth, you name it.

Happens with decent regularity...teams go cold...

This is why "flat bet so you don't regret" is a mantra that every gambler needs to have as their main thought and practice...

Part of bankroll management is working to lessen the effects of losses and maximize the effects of winners...if every wager holds the same weight, that really brutal loss doesn't hurt any more than any "regular loss" if you put the same money on each of them...

The goal is to grind out 57-59% winners and beat the -110 juice...but it takes a long time to recover if your basic game wager is 1 unit and you lose a 5 unit ...10 unit play...

That is, again, why 3-5% of your bankroll per wager is optimum...

Every once in a rare while...take a shot, sure...but your bread and butter has got to be bankroll management...or you won't last long...the unexpected will eventually take you out...as it happens...

Scoring droughts happen daily but I've never ever seen a team score 30 points then not score a single point for the rest of the game. This is the first time I've witnessed this happen in an NCAA game and I've been watching NCAA hoops since the 80's

Eastern Michigan today went 12 minutes and only scored 4 pts. Last 8:00 minute of the first half.. through first 4 minutes of the second.  

Works both ways.... Sunday night Knicks/Trailblazers scored 21 points in the last 30 seconds of the game.. Almost impossible to do..... 

Utah st score 7 points in 15 minutes against UNLV Monday night in the 2nd half ...surreal...
