New UNC coach Hubert Davis has 3 instant contributors transferring in, 6' 9" Brady Manek, OKL, 6'11" Dawson Garcia, MARQ, and 6'8" Justin McKoy, VA. Manek brings experience and is an excellent 3 point shooter, 6'11" Garcia is a rising star who singlehandedly helped Marquette deal UNC a surprising home loss, and McKoy a versatile junior coming back home (Cary, N.C.) Added with returning PF Armando Bacot and Davis has shored up what would have been a depleted frontline. If the young inconsistent backcourt led by Caleb Love, sharpshooter Kerwin Walton, and Leaky Black has improved any, the 2021/2022 season holds promise for the Heels.

Front court has improved with the addition of Dawson Garcia. Kid has potential to be a 1st rounder with his prototype big man skills. Should be an interesting year for this team. I think the only piece missing is a veteran point in the back court.

This may be Garcia's one and only year at UNC, loads of potential. The Heels were sloppy with the ball last year, to your point about not having an experienced guard. If I were Hubert these guards wouldn't leave their room without a ball in their hand. Cut down turnovers and improved shooting are expectations from one year to the next.

Which is why it was so important to bring these guys in. Plus 5 star incoming freshman 6'9" Jalen Washington out of Indiana. The empty cupboard Davis was facing has some food in em now, good food. Ultimately for NC it's those guards coming back with that all important year of experience under their belt, there's alot of potential there. I've always like Hubert going back to his days as a player and I believe he's the right man for the job. It's an exciting upcoming year for Carolina basketball.

Correction to make, Jalen Washington is part of the 2022 commitments, not this fall. On the bright side, the incoming class for 2022 is looking very strong, a loaded class, at least on paper. But this is 2021/2022 and at UNC we expect to compete for the national championship every year, just like Kentucky, Duke, and Kansas. The Jayhawks were the most successful of that group last season but as a #3 seed were demolished in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament by an upstart USC Trojan team 85-51. I look for the other 3 to be much improved this upcoming season, a collective anomaly for the Heels, Cats, and Blue Devils last year. And it's Coach K's farewell tour, pay attention.

Not exactly like I wrote it up but 3 of the 4 aforementioned teams are in the Final 4, Kentucky was strong too. My apologies for not mentioning Villanova, they were good last season, Jay Wright helluva coach. And should have seen St Peter's coming too, Elite 8, don't know how I missed them.
Best of luck in a powerful Final 4 and to my boys who may need some divine intervention, Sister Jean transferring to Chapel Hill perhaps, to beat their greatest rival and Coach K. GO HEELS!
