I have never seen a year with really no dominant teams. This could be the year a true Cinderella comes out of no where and wins it all.
Purdue has been #1 most of the season. This team relies heavily on 3 point shooting and has a lot of bad shooting games. They have lost 2 of last 3 and honestly they don't even have a big win. Duke and Gonzaga are way down this year. Purdue's D is ok and they have a huge center in Edey. Very beatable.
Houston likely going to be #1 now. Lol. Just lost to Temple and they have had several close calls against bad teams.
Arizona just got smashed by a bad Stanford team.
Tennessee just got smashed 2 in a row after being gifted a win over an average Auburn team but Tennessee looked like crap and needed a BS no call to survive that game.
Alabama trailed all game at home to a.500 team then managed a 3 point win. Turned around and got beat by 24 against an average, unranked opponent. Lost by 24 and gave up almost 100 points
This is the worst top 5 I have ever seen.
I think this is the year to throw a few bucks on some longshots.
There are no dominant teams this year.

Yeah I agree it's going to be interesting, this year is totally wide open.
UCLA is now ranked #4 so projecting as a top seed at the moment. Draft kings has them +1400 and I see them as high as +1600. Again, I'm not real impressed. They haven't beat a ranked team all year long. They are 0-3 against ranked teams. Really good D, average offense. I don't like that combination. Teams know they are going to have to make 3s against UCLA. First team that gets hot from 3, probably beats them. They beat Oregon after trailing much of the game. Oregon seems like an average team. They also haven't beat a ranked team this year (0-6) and the 7 point loss against UCLA was the closest they have come. Maybe the Bruins are worth a shot in the +1400 to +1600 range, it could happen with this soft bunch of teams this year. But honestly I don't think there is a rock solid team this year. I'm expecting a bunch of upsets in the first weekend. A bunch of unknown schools going to be bouncing seeds 1-4 real early this year.
Purdue fell to #3 in the rankings. Lol. This team is not that good at all.

Maybe that's what it is. I'm going to be looking at some of these unknown schools. A lot of them are as good as this current top 10. Just don't have the name recognition. I already got st Mary's California at +7000

They just lost by 24 points to a team with a losing record. A team that has played 4 games since then and lost all 4 by double digits. Yet Alabama is #1. Lol

Alabama is back to #1.

Oklahoma fit a +7.5 Superior Scheduled defense (60) @ home vs B12 opp in that game vs Bama. Alabama in their 4 road games prior to Okl faced weaker opp on the road. Weak AOPR vs Strong defensive AOPR.That's the only reason they lost that game by 24..but they wont go far either..Houston is my pick

As much as people would love to see a mid major conference team win it all.....if Gonzaga couldn't do it.............
Just looking at the records in general, and we're only a month away from the madness....yes, "top" ranked teams are getting knocked off pretty hard this season, and there's no true dominant team that we can clearly see at this point. Again, will be fun to watch... :)

Calm down fellows - you all didn't expect a team to go unbeaten, right? Every team goes through stretches where they don't play so well or they struggle on the road. 3 of Purdue's losses recently were on the road - it ain't easy playing on the road in the big conferences. Houston is going to be ugly every game with their D. Some of the other teams you all mentioned here are just going through a tough stretch. Of course on any given night you can have an upset and that is what makes March Madness so great. However I think many of these teams might right the ship soon. Like most of you though I like teams that don't just have one dominant player but where more than 1 or 2 players can score every night - those are the teams that i try to focus on down the stretch, in tournaments and in March Madness. Last night Maryland surrounded Edey and pushed him baseline out of his middle of the paint favorite spot and he had a terrible night. Not saying Edey is the only player Purdue has but you better have other players on your team than can score when your dominant one is having a bad night. Next few weeks will be great...buckle up.

There definitely is no dominant team, but according to KenPom your offense better be 39 or better with a defense of 22 or better. Arizona, Tennessee & Purdue don’t even meet that criteria right now.

Usually every year we see a couple of teams dominating and having at least 2 losses by this time of the year...
This group? Other than Houston (whom I do not trust to go all the way), teams are already on their 4th to 6th loss. UConn is ranked 5th by kenpom and already at 7 losses in the Big East? Creighton is 11 - 9 in the BE and is at a kenpom 12th in the nation? That's a lot of parity this season, more so than the last decade or more, methinks...
Kansas won it all last year, and we know how difficult it is to win back to back...but Kansas looks pretty good with their Quad 1 wins record, and again, that can change on a dime.

These teams suck wad, which is why I have Arkansas and USC in my Final 4. Worst one thru 4 seeds I’ve ever seen, and it’s not close. Purdue has the look of a 3 or 4 seed most years. Any of your usual wankers in your office pools who picked all one and two seeds to get to Houston, or claims to their “upset pick” to be Duke only, May as well tear up their brackets now. Ain’t happening.
