you are an awesome handicaper, Insiders but I can't see Witchita St. +5 because Indiana St. is a monster at home and Wichita St. is horrible on the road.

Insiders, I have to ask you since Andrew Warren is out this game, will that affect your decision on Bradley covering.  Bradley is sort of a balanced scoring team but Andrew Warren averages 13.1 points a game and the next best replacement is Sam Maniscalco who averages 7.5 points per game and assuming that Sam Maniscalco will start in place of Andrew Warren...there isn't a scoring guard left on the bench to be an adequete replacement for Sam Maniscalco when he is resting on the bench...so do you still consider Bradley a Play of the Day, regular play or no play at all?

Talk to me here, Insiders,  your only loss on a Play of the Day so far is Picking Depaul +7.5 at home against Louisville which they lost 88 to 68 on 2/12/08 and today Depaul is going to Connecticut (a very tuff place to play on the road) and you expect them to come closier to Connecticut at Connecticut than they came to Louisville at Depaul.  Granted Connecticut is coming off a tuff over time win at South Florida on Sat (74 to 73) but this game is on Connecticut's own floor.  I can see where their might be line value because of Louisville destroying Depaul but is the line value going to be enough to make Depaul cover the spread?  You over estimated Depaul before and used them as a Play of the Day (which is your only loss as a Play of the Day) are you sure you want to raise them to the status of Play of the Day again in this situation?

Really, with money and reputation on the line and you consider that worrying too much.  Guess u probably don't actually bet or have any pride in your own ability to pick games.  I have questions in regard to these 2 specific picks and if Insiders (or anyone else) can adequately address my concerns then I will use these 2 picks.  If not then I'll stay off the games.  I am extremely impressed with Insiders ability to handicap games but in regard to these 2 picks I would like to know what he is using to come up with them.  I am a big fan of Insiders and I want to see his picks win....I don't bring these concerns up in an effort to bring him down in any way shape or form...I ask these questions to understand how he has come to these conclusions so perhaps the elements he has analyzed will bring me to the same conclusion that he has reached and I would then use them in my own action.
 
   So Slblahblahman if you don't have any specific comments on any elements of the game or handicapping of the game that you can share then please refrain from judging someone as being too worriesome.  This is a forum and part of the intent of having this process is that we are able question Authors of posts on their reasoning.

Good decisions are based on good info. Nobody's questioning insiders ability or integrity; simply if he's taking all available info into consideration, in reaching his conclusions (pods)

So good to see that you don't have the intellectual make to distinguish between relevant and "stupid" questions. I made reference to a starting player being out due to injury and the situation of his replacement and other replacements possibly having an impact on the game and you characterize that as a "stupid" question.  I made reference to a team used in a previous pick which turned out to be Insiders only loss for the Pick of the Day and cited situations current in regard to that team and the team they are playing and you characterize that as a "stupid" question.  Well Mr. Slblahblahman I don't see any statistic or trends coming from your comments only personal attacks via insults (using the word "stupid") perhaps that's because you are the stupid one who doesn't understand statistics, trends or game situations and you get some kind of ego trip by calling other people names so if insults are all you have to offer then go back to bulling children on the playground because the rest of us are to discuss real elements of the game.

Drake clinched their first regular season conference title in 36 years after beating Northern Iowa and they are due for a letdown here especially with a their Nationally televized Bracket Busters game against Butler coming up on Saturday. In they last 5 games (four wins and one loss) they were not impressive at all. If you take a closer look into those boxscores, you'll find out that all four wins have been undeserved to say the least. In those last 5 Drake games, their field goal percentage stands at .445 (114/256) offensively and .526 defensively (132/251). Bradley matches up well against Drake and they had a 7 pts lead with just under 4 minutes left in their loss against Drake earlier this season. Drake is a covering machine, but don't forget that Bradley covered 9 of last 11. They won outright three times in last five as underdogs, covering the spread in every one of these 5 games. Many see Bradley as a bad road team, but I don't think that's true at all.They are 3-4 SU and 4-3 ats in road conference games which is not bad at all for MVC. Actually, only Drake won and covered more road conference games in the MVC this season. As for their non conference road schedule, they were tested in some very hostile environments this season (Butler-blowout loss, Wright State-overtime win). As for A.Warren's absence, I do think it is somewhat a bad news, but this Bradley team is well balanced and should be able to adjust.

Still staying with your insults...well what a surprise.  Mr. Slblahblahman your in game of witts and you are completely unarmed so just stop now because you are only making your self look worse.  You obviously have totally missed one (actually several and practicly every single) important point...I am not responding in this post because I am trying to prove that I am a great handicapper or that I am better than anyone else (you however have the grandiosdelusion that you are).  I made specific comments about specific situations in hopes to gain a better insight into why Insiders would make Bradley +7 and Depaul +13 outstanding plays....not because I want to belittle Insiders or anyone else who likes the picks.  Somewhere along the line you jumped in and started making insults without citing statistic, trends or games situations and when called out on these points you then tried to refocus the discussion into a challenge of handicapping skill while throwing more insults into your post.  You maybe able to pick games better than me and I am fine with that but I have a very big problem with the only things you have to bring to the forum are insults and challenges so...if you can't relate to the discussion in the form of statistic, trends and game situations then as I stated before "GO BACK TO THE PLAYGROUND AND GET YOUR EGO BOOST FROM BULLING THE CHILDREN THERE".

I don't think UGA can hang with KY tonight... KY just beat them in Athens by 5; Bulldogs played hard but lost a close one... Georgia is not a very good road team... I see KY by dd here..  I also think WSU is a poor road team and IND state is tough at 11-1 on home court.... Love your POD's though... BOL tonight

Thank you Insiders, that helps greatly in seeing your reasoning for liking the game.  I do hope that you will return and give more on your Depaul pick as well and since perhaps others have misunderstood my comment about you over estimating Depaul in the Louisville game the statement is just made as a lable to the situation because of how badly Louisville beat Depaul....I do not in any way intend to insult you by using the lable in regard to that pick...granted I do have concerns that you may in general over rate Depaul and that is why I am posing my statement and question in this topic...because I would like to understand your reasoning for the pick in this situation.  I make this statement LOUDLY AND CLEARLY, INSIDERS, YOU ARE A BETTER HANDICAPPER THAN I AM...YOU RECORD ON PLAYS OF THE DAY IS BETTER THAN MINE HAVE EVER BEEN...so please take no offense from my statements and questions in this post because I mean no offense in any way shape or form.  I mearly seek understanding of the picks.

Uconn has the 3rd best RPI in the Big East, but in reallity, they are probably the 5th or 6th best team in their conference. They are not very experienced and that makes them very incosistent. They are at their best when they play good teams (wins vs ND, GT, SYR, PIT, LOU, IND, MQT) but look somewhat uninspired against lesser opponents (SFL, CIN, PRO, CFL, NE, MGST). They are coming off of a road overtime win and have a trip to Nova on Saturday. I know that DePaul was my only POD loss so far, but I believe that I underestimated Louisville in that game. DePaul is an average team talent wise, with solid experience and good discipline.

Nice Insiders! It is a bit of a let-down spot for Drake w/ Butler on the horizon. I can see Bradley keepin this w/in the number.

Ok, the let down against So. Fl to me was to be expected since their previous six games were against Indiana, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Georgia Tech and Notre Dame.  Their loss to Providence was sandwiched between at Georgtown and at Marquette..also an expected let down.  Their 6 point victory over Northeastern came directly after their game with Gonzaga in which Gonzaga was ranked and UCon wasn't so I'm not surprised by them winning by the small number but current situation of them playing Villanova (who is no longer ranked and in poor standing in the Big East -10th) on Saturday doesn't give me a let down expectation because Depaul has the same Big East record and ranking and the Depaul game is on UConn's home court so I would think UConn would be much more focused on Depaul than Villanova because UConn does not like to lose at home...ofcourse the spread is 13 and not a pick but is this really a Play of the Day situation...Any way Insiders thank you for sharing your views and I hope that you win all of your picks especially your 2 Plays of the Day because I am in total awe of your record up to this date.
