Is Belmont a sucker bet?

Not sure why all the media is on Belmont.They only have one senior one the roster and lost to Tennessee by 9 and by 1 in the rematch and Vanderbilt by 9.Wisconsin is a veteran squad and my be undervalued based on their tournament loss vs Penn State.So what do you guys think,sucker bet or not?

Yes they LOST to Tenn and Vandy on the ROAD!!!!!This is a NEUTRAL game....They have yet to be blown out by DD!So Belmont is definitely a SMART BET!

Wisconsin could easily cover but I am not very high on them at all.  They have no inside game.  Basically it comes down to whether or not the 3 ball is falling.  Even their bigs like to chuck it from deep.

this has public dog bloodbath written all over it...i remember the dakota team against kansas a couple years back and we should have covered and the team was dam good but they just got worn down in the end and i was pretty pissed. hate to see that happen again. bo ryan is a master mind, his team is god awful to watch, but he is a genius.

think there is an injury to a wisky player though that is worth watching

Once I heard all the ESPN analysts praising Belmont I immediately advanced Wisconsin.  Really why wouldn&#x27;t they handle Belmont easily?

First of all,Belmont won't be worn down. They go 11 deep with
quality players. Rick Byrd ,Belmont coach will match every move
Bo Ryan makes. Book it!!! Do not over think these games...Watch

wisconsin is a top 10 team. People were talking about making them a 1 seed potentially if they won the big 10 tourney. Belmont has played no one this year. Badgers have one of the better defenses in the country and will slow this game down to a snails pace. Taylor will put up 30 or more. I think you may be the one over thinking in this case

Plus I&#x27;ve noticed when all these experts are in agreement on an upset when they always pick chalk, they&#x27;re usually right.This is getting as much consensus as VCU did when they beat Duke.Not a lock, but Belmont ML has value here.IF Wisky gets past Belmont though, they should get to the Elite 8.

This is a scary game to pick - I can&#x27;t decide - before the tournament I said Belmont is my first pick in march madness - and yeah - jon rothstien likes belmont - he is usually wrong about everything - you will notice he picks all the games -when the guy who makes the right picks being seth davis gets little to no time on tv and the net - I think rothstien works for vegas he&#x27;s shady no doubt about it - they act like he is a genious. Belmont losing to tennessee and vanderbilt by 8 -9 points makes me think when they run up against a top 10 team they will get thumped - lauer and taylor average a decent amount of points plus I think they average a good freethrow % - also wisconsin going undefeated at home against good competition yeah if wisconsin slows the pace they could take it 71 -59 or something like that - could be a public play screw job - not one of my favorite bets either way but wisconsin is playing with house money

I would have liked Belmont somewhat if Wisconsin would have won the Big Ten title. They were an early out thus reducing the value. If they would have won the Big 10 the line would probably be 7, a much better value for Belmont..

The teams that have taken Wisky out in the tourney have been very good teams, much better than Belmont. This comes down to talent and if Belmont has it or not. I honestly do not know for sure so I cannot play this game.

This is just to difficult to pick the side. Maybe a winner presents itself at the half though.

They did a stat once that all big ten teams do not shoot the ball til there is 5 seconds left on the shot clock - this could really lull belmont to sleep - belmont is eager to score but taking full possesions to shoot by wisconsin might frusterate belmont - da buckster did you watch the wisky/penn st game - is it possable they half assed it knowing if they won they would play ohio state for the championship of nothing when all that matters is the march madness tournament? - was bo ryan thinking why play another game? - risk injuries and fatigue for nothing? let me know if you saw the game please

Its hard to imagine Whisky not covering this one.  Of the teams in the tournament, they have beaten OHIO ST, Purdue, Michigan St, Penn St, Michigan, and Illinois.  They are one of the best defensive teams and have a lot of length...

The domination of northwestern in the two games they played might be the most telling considering jon shurna is a good three point artist - the one game against northwestern they won by 30 or so - belmont lost to tennessee and vanderbilt not very inpressive teams - and yeah who has belmont beat in real life - nobody
