Is Pitt a Contender or Pretender?

I read this story today https://thepaint.net/2010/01/12/defense-above-all-else/ and it got me to thinking. 

Is defense going to win the Big East for Pitt, or were those last two games just a mirage?

It seems almost impossible to see them in the top 20 and yet here they are, but will it last with this team??

Pitt is definitely a contender, but i dont consider them Big east favorites. i think thats a little premature at this point, just my opinion. Where has the Drizz been????

Take the PITT goggles off.  PITT has a nice young team and they will be back as a BIG EAST powerhouse...maybe as early as next season.  It just goes to show...you can find an article anywhere that will advocate anything. 

This is covers for crying out loud...take the rah-rah B.S. to the PITT fan forums on ESPN.  There are plenty of homers over there dying to tell everyone how great their team is.
