Someone finally didn't throw up a bunch of bricks against UK like their opponents have the last 5 or so games.. and kentucky can't score enough when teams do get hot

They can't score in bunches when other teams get hot, it's always been the issue with Cal.. They have to muck the game up and win it slowly at the line like a run game in football, they never have great shooters anymore that can just bang them back into games. A game like tonight is what always happens to them in March, if you've actually watched their games the last 3 weeks you'll see everyone shot horrific against them and it wasn't because of their defense if you saw the games.. Kentucky is good but they are not as far removed from that really bad team they had last year as everyone thinks they are. I will never trust a team that Cal is coaching in March when it matters most

 What Jwheels is saying is not a terrible assessment of Kentucky imo. I completely get where he’s coming from. They’ll struggle against physical teams with size in the tourney. Oscar is a tremendous college player, but he plays below the rim. As Jwheels alluded to, they’re not a great shooting team. Outside of Grady, there’s no legitimate threat beyond the arc.

 Jwheels believes Kentucky wants to play slow, truly didn’t read much after that because Cal’s M-O is playing fast. Grady is 40+% 3 point guy. Davion Mintz is shooting 44% from behind the arc in SEC play, they have the leading rebounder in the country and top 2 guys in turnover to assist ratio in Conference play. I get it was a tough game but sheesh folks, pump the breaks lol 

They are good, they are talented.. but they have overachieved so far this year, a team like Auburn to me is much better than them and built for a run. Auburn has size with multiple bigs that can score AND are athletic.. They have guards that can create shots for others as well as themselves and are wet as hell and can drop bombs on you for quick 9-0 runs.. they are very well coached with Pearl as well...

As always, UK has young talent and bad coaching, all of their fans were demanding that Cal be axed every single day the last year up until the last month. They'll be doing it again after this last stretch leading into March. They are one dimensional and must rely on success on defensive end, boards and making games ugly and winning at the stripe and getting teams in foul trouble, they don't have any great shooters. If they get into high scoring affairs they are not the team with the advantage.

 Lol easy man. Coach Cal is one of the best coaches in the country. His teams always rebound and play defense and this team is actually one of the older teams he’s had at Kentucky. They’ll be a tough out but I do think their shooting as a team will bite them at some point.

Go say that to UK fans and you'll get swarmed.. He is a great recruiter and motivator, not a game day X's and O's guy.. the reason their fans have lost all patience with him is he's not hit at the same level recruiting and missed more on the guys he has gone after/not developed them and then you see them get to the league and turn into monsters.. like a Devin Booker, I had no clue he was an assassin shooter and scorer of the basketball until he got to the league. He is not elite as a coach the way he used to be and it's shown the last few years on the floor. He's stubborn and stuck in what he wants to do and doesn't change and the game is changing
