Adding Wake Forest +14....not saying the Deacs will shock the world at Arky....I just feel Coach Danny Manning will have them keeping games close all season including a tough ACC slate....maybe the Hogs will prove me wrong but I see this one on single digits maybe even a 2 or 3 possession game That's all for me tonite....Good luck everyone!

OK my promise to stay disciplined & selective is being tested.... Adding Austin Peay -2.5....just banking on an mid-range OVC team with some nice frontcourt depth to get it done on the road going against what could be one of the bottom 20 teams in all of Division I....Samford lost 5 of their top 6 scorers from last year - a year in which they finished 13-20 overall....with 8 freshmen & sophomores on the roster this team is gonna get some beatdowns this year like on opening nite last Friday to Purdue by 40....they hung with Pitt on Sunday so maybe I'm misreading them....the Governors are just deeper and I see them winning by double digits That's it....good luck tonite guys!

11/21/14 Nevada +7: Seton Hall's fortunes this year rest squarely in the hands of freshman Isaiah Whitehead, a McDonald's All-American who had a below mediocre debut against Mercer....until he gets going this team is nothing special and I don't see them as 8 points or more better than Nevada on a neutral court George Washington +13: Virginia has rolled it's first 3 opponents this year by an average of a little over 25 points a game....GW is quite a step up in competition especially defensively....Virginia playing at home probably has the scoring edge in this one but I feel GW has the overall talent to keep this one in single digits Big day and I'm coming out firing....more to follow....

New Mexico -6.5: I think Vegas is discounting the Lobos WAY too much here....they played one bad half of bball yesterday....I'm gonna buy on the cheap here and take Hugh Greenwood and a decent squad vs. a team that will struggle to get double digit wins this year and lost to Cornell at home by 8 on opening nite....yes Cornell who finished last year ranked 329 out of 349 Division I schools

Oregon -5.5: Another discounted price from Vegas....Toledo is talented and may very well make it to The Tourney for the first time in 35 years....but I'm banking on the Ducks led by scoring sensation Joseph Young and a roster of role players to get it done by right around double digits today

Nevada +7 LOSER....flaming moneybag emoticon....they lost by 8 but they were never in this one 2014-15 Record 5-7 Adding Colorado St. -6.5: Georgia St. is a hidden gem this year and has some big name talent....but I feel the Rams have talent of their own in JJ Avila & Daniel Bejarano and are a deeper team....gimme Coach Eustachy at home with 3 returning starters over a team with some big name talent that hasn't quite gelled yet

2014-15 Record 8-8 Not a lot of time for fancy write-ups but here are my plays today with a few comments: 11/23/14 So. Florida +14.5: NC State gets their first real opponent today....even though the Wolfpack are at home I don't trust them to cover this big spread with all they lost from last year....So. Florida has a few key players that can keep them in this one St. Mary's - 4: I like this team a lot....Brad Waldow, Kerry Carter, & Stanford transfer Aaron Bright lead a nice core and should get a double digits win today at home So. Carolina -5.5: Gimme Frank Martin & a below average SEC roster over a below average MAC roster by right around double digits any day....this one is listed as a neutral floor but it's in So. Carolina so give 'em a little bump there too Eastern Illinois +18.5: Going against my usual BCS school at home vs. the little guy here....Cincy lost a lot from last year & I don't trust them to score enough to cover big spreads....if Eastern can get to 50 they'll probably cover this That's all for now....maybe another 1 or 2 later....have fun today guys!

Yesterday Recap So. Florida +14.5 WINNER St. Marys -4 LOSER....really close but no cash So. Carolina -5.5 LOSER....Akron is a scrappy bunch! Eastern Illinois +18.5 WINNER 2014-15 Record 10-10 11/24/14 Michigan St. -16: I know they lost lost a LOT from last year but playing a team picked in the bottom half of the WCC at home should be over a 20 point win here tonite Toledo -10.5: The Rockets return 4 starters from last year's squad and should win tonite by 15-20 over visiting Bucknell....the Bison put up a fight at Villanova last week but have not been impressive in their other 3 games & return only one player who averaged over 7 points a game from last season Western Carolina +6.5: Maybe I'm just down on Oakland this year....the Catamounts hung tough at Bama & at Mississippi St. last week....I see this one as a one possession game either way Iowa St. -6.5: The Cyclones are playing in "Hilton South", the nickname Iowa St. fans have given Kansas City for some magical Big 12 (and Big 8) tourney runs over the years....Bama is not as deep or talented on the scoring end to keep this one within single digits Villanova -1.5: VCU is probably better defensively & athletically and Nova has not been spectacular as of yet....kind of a gut feel play here as VCU have been public darlings yet on a neutral court I feel the Wildcats have the star power (Hilliard, Arcidiacono, Pinkston, & Ennis) and depth to take this one
That's it from me for the day....Feast Week is upon us!!!! Good luck tonite gentlemen!

Nebraska -14.5: Getting a double discount here due to the Huskers losing on the road at Rhody & UNO pulling off an upset at Marquette....Remember two things: 1) this is still an upper echelon Big 10 school 2) they are playing at home against a team who lost at Seattle U. last week by 24....Huskers by a little over 20
San Diego St. -4.5: this is Jamie Dixon's least talented Panthers squad in quite some time....they only beat Samford at home by 7, Division II Chaminade by 13, & lost to Hawaii last Friday....the only thing that scares me is a little fatigue factor for the Aztecs off an OT game but they have the talent & depth to win this one by double digits
Boise St. -15: Coming off a blowout loss at Wisconsin & some sort of "rivalry game" status are about the only reasons I can see Vegas putting this one under 20....in a game where neither team's frontcourt is all the spectacular gimme the team with a 1-2 backcourt punch (Drmic & Marks) all day long
Miami, OH +8: Northwestern has played several close ballgames this year against MUCH lesser opponents (No. Florida, Houston Baptist) and those were HOME games!!!!....I say the Redhawks give 'em a one or two possession game & maybe even pull off the upset on a neutral court
Villanova -4.5: Dangerous play for me cuz I usually don't back a team two days in a row playing against two back-to-back ranked opponents....Nova looked so impressive yesterday running VCU out of the gym & Michigan has looked very above average in it's games early on....with the backcourts being about even gimme the squad with the better front court for an 8-12 point win and I feel the Cats have the better bigs
Might have another 1 or 2 later....wanna keep this momentum going!
