It was the correct call. Clark Kellogg didn't know the rule. Ball has to hit the rim before anyone behind the 3-point line can cross the 3-point line. Here is the rule:

Rule 9, Section 1, Article 2, Part G

Players not in a legal marked lane space shall remain behind the freethrow
line extended and behind the three-point field-goal line until
the ball strikes the ring, flange or backboard, or until the free throw
ends.

when you are making the $$$ these guys are making as officials trust me there is no need for a fix, when the boss says you make the call and enforce the rule as written you make the call and enforce the rule regardless of point of game.

You really want to know how the NCAA feels about that call being made....wait until Sunday and that ref is working again, then you'll know.

100% correct call. If you have played organized ball for more than one year in your life then you know this rule. The player has to be a moron to enter the lane from outside the arc before the ball hits the rim. If it wasn't a rule you would see every team do this every foul attempt and they would have a huge advantage on the offensive end.

That wasn&#39;t a lane violation or an intentional foul. They rarely call intentional fouls. Every foul in the last few minutes should be called intentional

Go Cougs thanks for the rule...i think the problem was the fucking retard calling the game ...if you go back he says you can not enter until the ball is "released" .....So he fucked it up for the nation ....if you watch for the release then he was not in violation ...now that you show ball striking ...it makes sense ..so i think that fucked alot people up
