i had just finished cutting off most of my unreliable sources last night when i get a call from an unkown number........i usually don't answer these but i was so depressed from all the misinformation i had been receiving the last few weeks i figured wtf........"hello".........it was my old college roomate i haven't heard from in years.........come to find out he had just gotten out of rikers last week and managed to get my number.....
cut a long story short......he asks me how the scene's been.....me and him used to bet all the time when we lived together...he's one of the best handicappers i know.......so he gets to talking to me about rikers......come to find out the guy who was two cells down from him in his block was a college basketball referee for mac/big ten games back in the early and mid 90's.........they become pretty close....one thing leads to another.......guy starts telling my ex roomate that 80% of the games he ever officiated were fixed....
tells him it starts as soon as the line comes out.......the sharps pick games they like, and they "bid" on the outcome game....the head official for that game will get notified of what the outcome should be.....gameday all referees will sit down before the game and set out how many possessions there should be, fouls called, etc. for the 1st half....then a halftime make their adjustments to reach the specified outcome
back to last week.....the day my ex roomate gets out.....his guy passes him a note with a name and number....says if he didn't belive him to find that guy when he gets out.....
cut a long story short.....my ex roomate has spent the last two days in ohio finding this guy and basically reaffirming everything that he was told......his battery was getting low, so he asked if i had a sportsbook i could place a bet for him......
put it this way....when i place the amount he wired me to wager on this game, ill definitley be receiving an email later today from big tony @ 5dimes about bet limits and suspicious wagers....anyways......
the fixed game is bg/mia(oh).....my ex-roomate told me that the line came out at 3.5 and that the refs working the game actually brought the line down to 2.5 where it stands now.......he said they are middling this game and are going to try and swing the score right in between at a 3 point margin of victory.....however..... the big bet and safe play on this game is the........
OVER.....the line hasn't come out yet, but my ex roommate tells me it will come out around 135-137 and the fix on the game is going to be in the 160-162 range.....( 82-79...83-79) type of game.....
