Like you I was looking at this game and thought about some degen action. Longwood, IMO, surprisingly matched up pretty well statwise but they do not have the record to show for it. They lost by 14 at CharSO but barely lost to them at home. I was leaning Longwood until I saw Nwogbo was out due to bad thumb and it looked like he has had a couple 20pt games.Just not sure how much he meant to their team so I passed. Good luck on what you decide.

The close game they played at Longwood last month was a letdown spot for Charleston Southern after two games against teams at or near the top of the conference standings at the time. I believe they have blown out every team they've played in the bottom half of the conference standings since that time.
Nwogbo is Longwood's best rebounder. They are one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, but they weren't exposed against Presbyterian as they are also one of the worst. Charleston Southern is a vastly superior rebounding team when compared to either of the two, and should not allow Longwood the second-chance opportunities they got against Presbyterian.
If there's a play, I think it's Charleston Southern, but I personally would stay away from it. Ten points is a big number for a game where both teams will be motivated and playing on a neutral floor.

Something else to consider - If you look at the game log for Southern, they have not been all that great off long layoffs. I went through the schedule, and found a lot of their losses or close contests occurred after a layoff of 4 days or more.
I would tread very lightly despite the fact Southern is clearly a superior team.

Love this angle. Use it every year in small conference tournaments, especially when fading top seeds. There's so much pressure on the top teams, particularly senior-laden teams like CSU. Lower-seeded teams that played the day before have an advantage early in the game because they're adjusted to the surroundings and really have nothing to lose.
