AKR@OHST (Play: Akron +5)
Both teams disappointed, but for different reasons. Ohio State plays in the NIT after 7 straight NCAAB tournament appearances, so they could lack interest here. As for Akron, this is still an upgrade for them as they played no postseason games after the MAC conference tournament loss last season. I also think that they will have the extra motivation here, playing the big brother from Ohio.
ULM@FUR (Play: Furman PK)
This is actually a step up in level of postseason tournaments for ULM as they played in CBI last season, but I have hard time believing that they feel that way just a couple of days after riding a 10 game win streak and leading the SBC finals at the half, only to collapse in the 2nd half. As for Furman, it is their biggest postseason game and first home postseason game in like milion years, and they should be motivated here.
WCST vs VAN (Play: Vanderbilt +3.5)
Vanderbilt got lucky to get in here and hopefully they understand it. They are entering the NCAA tournament on a losing streak and they are basically being given a second chance. Very talented and capable of upsetting Wichita who was dominent in their conference but 5-5 SU and 3-6 ATS against other Division I teams they faced. They were 1-4 SU/ATS against 5 teams that made it to the NCAA tournament.
