They are a dominant team. They beat ranked Texas A&M. They lost to Bama by 3, to Houston by 2, then beat Houston by double digits.
Purdue is an overrated bunch with a monster at center. Unless they get hot from 3, they aren't even that good. They have won lots and lots and lots of close games because they feed it to Edey late and he gets a foul call.
Highly overrated. A top seed should not have 5 losses and another 10-12 single possession wins.
If I can get Memphis +7 or more, I'm betting at least $11,000 on them plus the points

@Danny9999 That’s if Memphis gets past FAU which I don’t think they do
FAU 33-3 but hasn't played a ranked team.
Memphis just beat a very good Tulane team by 40 points, Led #1 Houston by 15 at half, beat a very good UCF team, beat a good Cincinnati team and lost to #1 Houston by 2.
Memphis has 7 losses but 3 are to #1 or #2 in the nation. And all were close.
I haven't seen a line but I make Memphis 11 over FAU. They are beating FAU.

@Danny9999 bro you literally added an inch to each player LOL williams is 6' 9" and lawson is 6' 8"... those are their only bigs and neither of them have any real rim protection presence whatsoever
I said Lawson was 6 8.
Williams got 13 rebounds today in their double digit win over the #1 team in the nation.
Edey also got 13 rebounds in Purdue's 2 point win against the 10th seeded team in the big ten. Nice 2 point win against a so so squad, Purdue should be used to it. They have been pulling out 2 point wins against garbage teams all year. Like against Ohio State, Maryland, Nebraska, Davidson, etc.
Purdue lives off shooting threes. Those are long rebounds, not right next to the rim.
Purdue is highly highly overrated...but if you are a fan, congrats on the 2 point win against the 10th seed today.
Again, you want to give me 7 points, we can go $10,000 at matchbook. No juice. I will set it up if you would do it.

saying purdue lives off 3s is how I know your talking out your ass... they average 6.9 attempts per game which ranks #229 in the country... source :https://www.ncaa.com/stats/basketball-men/d1/current/team/153/p5
they are arguably the most paint dominant team in the entire bracket. good luck friend, ive got memphis losing first round to FAU. they don't have a single impressive win this year. im sure you watched the memphis/houston game and was inspired to make this post like countless others, but a win against a team without their best player who is already locked into a 1 seed is a bit meaningless

Memphis upset Purdue in the 2nd round in the mid 90s. Then again, Purdue has lost to every program as a higher seed since the start of the Gene Keady/Tammy Faye Baker regime. It’s a tradition continued onwards by Painter and quite like none other- Purdue to choke on its chickens for the upteenth year in a row. Today’s sports version of the pre-2004 Red Sox. It’s the curse of Bobby Knight. Or perhaps, Tammy. I will live to see the day a 16 seed makes the Final 4 before Purdue does.
