Hey guys, I just wanted to open some communication & hear your thoughts on this game. I know the revenge angle is real, but I just am shocked to see Missouri State getting 4 points after beating Northern Iowa by 20 a few days ago. My book has Missouri State +4 & this really sticks out to me today. These two teams played on 12/25 & Missouri State won by 20 (the game was 79-59.) I have watched Northern Iowa play twice and let's just be very kind in saying this Northern Iowa team is not anything like teams from previous years.
On 12/25, when these teams played, Missouri State was 51.6% from the field, with a 44% three point percentage. Northern Iowa was 32.8 from the field, with a 20% three point percentage. So I know Missouri State shot the ball extremely well, while Northern Iowa did not. Missouri State also had 14 turnovers to Northern Iowa's 10.
I normally don't like to overthink games like this and be too worried about a "trap," but this seems extremely fishy. Please tell me why I shouldn't hammer Missouri State. Any insight is welcomed!!!!

They played yesterday and There's a few more games that fit that same scenario. It's a weird dynamic. Canisius and and Ucsb fit as well. Tbh I'm not sure what to make of it, alot of conferences are doing the same thing.

UNI is playing with half a deck right now. AJ Green the best player in the league is out for the year. They run everything through him. Ben Jacobsen is a great coach but this is a tough spot for him this year. They actually cancelled some games because they didn't have enough people to play.

Missouri St. and Northern Iowa played yesterday, not on 12/25. I played Missouri St. Sunday and will bet them again today. They are on a good run against the spread. Missouri St. is the better team right now, glad to be getting four points. Don't over think, which is easy to do with all the information that is accessible to sports bettors.

Off the top of y'all's heads, do you know of any games that fit this scenario? Team getting blown out and then playing within the next few days? And how did it turn out?

10 games today that the same two teams played Sunday, the same home team for both games. Covid has certainly played havoc with the schedule on college basketball.

UNI for me. 85% of bets on MoSt due to yesterday’s blowout. Was UNI’s first game in 18 days and UNI was still 6 point Fav. They were rusty, shot like garbage and MoSt couldn’t miss. You are getting serious value on UNI today, Vegas doesn’t give free money, and this one does fall into the public trap game.

What do you guys think about the total? Yesterday it was 145. Went under by 7 pts (138 scored). Was on track to go over at half time, but scoring on both teams slowed in the second.
Today the total is set at 140.5.

MVC scheduled back-to-back's this season for conference play.......will see this all year......Mizzou St is highly inexperienced at the D1 level (a few JUCO transfers) but their team has gelled really well early....Prim (Mizzou St) is an absolute stud down low (will probably finish 1st/2nd team MVC)......Green (UNI) has been gone since the opening weekend tourney......coaching edge to UNI......refs should try to help UNI again tonight (home cooking)........good luck......
