My Terps versus 8,500 Lathered Up Pencilnecks

7-3 for the season on Terp games

My beloved Terps travel to the Ratface Nest and take on #1 Dook.  Tough way to start the ACC season in full swing with a trip to Cameron after a bunch of cupcakes and final exams.  No one ever said our atheltic department was worth a shit (see not hiring Mike Leach and getting a half assed football coach instead).

Getting up for FUCKING Dook is never a problem.  With 8,500 pencil-necked geeks all worked up into a smelly lather, we'll get to see what a building full of fucks that have never played sports a DAY in their lives can do in the way of noise.  They hate us and.........we wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. 

Jordan Williams is going to need help here in the way of scoring.  I think he does just fine on the offensive end, provided he gets to play and isn't in foul trouble with the phantom bullshit calls Dook typically gets.  I really don't see Fric and Frack Plumlee being able to handle him defensively.  That being said, someone else for the Terps has to go for 17+ and another couple of players need to go for 13+.  This shit of JWill getting his double double and one other guy having 13+ won't work.  Bowie, Tucker and Sugar Sean have been to Cameron enough times to know what it takes to win there.  These guys are expereinced, have beaten Dook and need to come up big.

As much as I hate Dook, I have always liked Singler.  I think he needs some sleep with those dark circles and sunken eyes but the boy can ball.  He's a tough match-up and I expect our best defender Cliff Tucker to draw the assignment on him with those long arms.  We will liely get chewed up a bit in the backcourt as our guards are young but much of our success in the past against Dook has been our ablity to shut that three point barrage down.  Dook rains 3's so we have to get out and be active with our hands 20+ feet from the basket.  If they aren't hitting ridiculous %'s and we pound the ball inside on the offensive end, we stay close.  They will go on runs but when they punch, the key at Ratfaceville is to counter-punch.  Miss a beat and you typically get buried.

K is a great coach and Rat.  Gary is a great coach who does more with less.  Keeping a bunch of 108 pound geeks quiet is the key.   Terps are very efficient so far on the defensive end and I think our four losses are by a total of 20 points.  I can see this one staying fairly close and I think this line is off by a few points for sure.  Like this one to be lower scoring than some think as we will do all we can to keep the bozo crowd out of it.

Like Terps +15.5 and under 151.5.

The more I look at this, study results this season and being that I know how very much we were in the 4 games we lost, the more I like the Terps in this one.  Gary will have the boys jacked to play and the older players have not had the typical success we've enjoyed at Cameron.  Add that to the frosh having no fear and I like it.
