Haven't studied the Spreads for Friday, but for Thursday here are my top 5 plays, not really in any order:
1) Gonzaga -23 over S. Dakota St.: The easiest money to be made on the day. People might be scared to take that many points with the Zags, considering how they played against Santa Clara and BYU recently, but trust me S. Dakota St. is no BYU and they are not even Santa Clara. Don't overthink this one. Zags love to run up scores, because their 2nd and 3rd strings play really hard.
2) East. Tennessee St. +10.5 over Florida: I don't think that ETSU will win this game SU, but I think they keep it close and 10.5 is way too much for an inconsistent Florida team. The last time ETSU got blown out by more than 10 points was on 12/15/15. So they are notorious for keeping games close!
3) Wisconson -5.5 over Va. Tech: Wisconsin is going to be mad as hell that they got under-seeded. They are going to take it out on the Hookies and I could see Wisco winning this one like 57-35 or 65-45. A low scoring game, controlled by the Badgers from Start to Finish.
4) FSU - 12 over Fl. Gulf Coast: This game is being played in Orlando, FL. There is no homecourt for either team. 14x this season Florida St has won games by 15+ point. One thing working in FGCU favor is that they kept things very close with MSU and only lost to Baylor by 9. I think FSU covers the 12, but I'd feel really comfortable teasing this one with 5 or 8 points.
5) Nevada +6.5 over Iowa St.: Two years ago Iowa St. won the Big 12 Championship, then went up against No. 14 UAB and lost. This Nevada Wolfpack team is extremely dangerous. If Caroline and Marshall start hitting 3 pointers, and Cam Oliver rebounds like the monster he is...they can almost beat anybody. Even if Nevada can't pull the upset, I think getting 6.5 points is a no brainer here!

Man that's a rough top 5 of Toss ups. You're picking a turnover ridden, less talented version of themselves to upset (Nevada) ISU is all business second half of year. They beat Nevada in high scoring game by double digits. Hottest team in the nation. And you're right sdst isn't byu, but they do have a once in a decade talent for there conference. Daum is a nightmare to any favorite he's a lottery pick next season. I'd say with him I'd rather face Santa Clara then sdst. In a matchup against a 1 seed and the number 16 seed has the most talented player on the court is scary. Sdst covers. And I find it tough to back a team that can't score in whisky, they can't even make free throws (340th in nation) let alone make baskets. But they could win. I have no faith in how bad they have looked in the worst conference (big 10)

I actually like all of them except Nevada. I've been seeing way too many people on Nevada. I think Iowa St blows them out by 20. ISU has a legit shot at making the Elite 8.
