Everything in life in MODERATION. Looks like you have a family, what's more important, gambling or your family? Only you can decide! Your at a crossroad in your life, make the right, tougher, choice.

Set a comfortable limit to your gambling and stick with it. A limit that won't deprive your family.

B. Gambling Addiction

I most certainly have an addiction.  But I pay the bills first, take care of the family, only play with money I can afford to lose or rather my spare spending money.  I certainly don't have a problem.   If you're type A then you need to check yourself. If you're type B like myself the wife needs to chill.
