locking this in early; this line seems beyond odd to me.
I actually think this line is right about where it should be. I am actually and LSU grad and was there for probably our best team we have had in a long time with Tyrus Thomas, Big Baby Davis, Garrett Temple, Mitchell when we beat Duke in Sweet 16 only to lose to UCLA after driving all the way to Indy from Baton Rouge two nights before.
Anyway, with that being said and my point being I follow this program incredibly closely and since we have gotten Johnny Jones as our head coach we are such a sporadic basketball team. You can absolutely never truly count on this team to cover a game for you since he's been there as he never slows a game down even if up 20 in 2nd half he's gonna keep running and chucking 3s.....AT LEAST this was his past style, I think with Simmons alone though he knows too much about the game and his feel is like none other that he will take it over and slow and push the pace when the time is right. I love Blakeney too on this team. I am definitely firing at it also, but I just wanted you to maybe not get too overconfident b/c we are very unproven and young. We haven't necessarily destroyed Southern or South Alabama by more than 11 & 12 points respectively. Marquette has a stud 5 star freshman too that will pose his own issues - but in the end Simmons and Blakney are too good and will pull this away in the final 8 minutes to win by 12 tonight. Best of luck.... I'll post my other games in a thread but just in case don't see here is what my top picks are:
LSU -5.5 vs Marquette
East Carolina +14.5 @ San Diego State
California -20 (both the hook) vs Sam Houston State
North Carolina -9.5 vs Northwestern
Indiana -12 vs Wake Forest (really like)
Michigan State -20 (bought the hook) vs Eastern Michigan

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the response. That was actually a lot of information that I agree with 100%. Marquette is still trying to figure out their chemistry and tempo and have been embarrassing so far this year. With LSU, I couldn't agreee more. There game plane usually ends up with them failing to cover in the 2nd half and covering with ease in the 1st half. As for your plays, I like them all. Especially Cal & ECU tonight. Let's cash in! I'm actually gonna take a look at LSU 1H after saying that to see if there 's any value in the line.
BOL tonight my man and enjoy an old school beating by those Tigers!

Great analysis on that game! It definitely did swing as you put it out there. Great picks today as well (even the Indiana one). Nobody could have envisioned Wake Forest covering let alone upsetting Indy in that one. Definitely looking forward to your picks in the future man.
