Had to take a little break from the grind for about a week or so after that Kansas-UCLA game. That one hurt. I think I had it capped correctly but I was way too emotionally involved in the game while it was going on. Needed to step back and take some time away to regain perspective and remember there are far more important things than one college basketball game.

Funny thing this college basketball capping, it will keep you humble. I make two plays above 5 units this season, both fading UCLA, and both lose.



On to Tuesday, just leans for now:

1. St. Mary's -15.5
2. Minnesota -25
3. Rider +7, perhaps ML

bookmaker has ucla by 8.5 and betjam has them by 7. do you really think they sohuld be favored by that many? im thinking about taking the bigger team plus the points here

God, UCLA should not be favored by 7+ over NorthEast Directional Tech or anyone in D1.  If Howland starts Anderson and Dragovic today it should be an easy NMST play. Then again, see above -- I kinda have been off with fading the Bruins this year.

UCLA/NMSU would be hard to call........both teams have been pretty damn bad this season. Tough to imagine laying 7 with UCLA but it is just as hard to imagine taking only 7 with NMSU on the road against a Pac 10 school.....can't imagine anyone laying money on this game.

I'm right there with you on the UCLA-Kansas play.  That hurt.  Kansas was just completely uninspired from the tip.  I wanted to smash Roll in the face when he hit that three at the end.

I thought that was one of the better plays this month and I ate it hard too. . .

You're not liking your stinkers, UCLA tonight?  I have to believe they can take advantage of NMSU in the paint tonight.  How the hell can the Aggies possibly have any ball rotation inside the arc with three big guys missing?  Seems a little too obvious, but I'm biting.

Kap - Good to see you back.  I think Bruins are a non-play here given NMS curretn state.  They can really throw up a stinker.

 

Take a look at Murray State tonight getting 3.  They played Cal tough (only loss) and La Tech's schedule cakewalk and got rolled by a rather crappy AZ squad.  I think the 3 is a gift.
