I cannot beleive every thread I read about ND/ODU I read ODU beat Georgetown, Norte Dame also beat them so Big deal. Norte Dame wins by at least 6 points...

ODU season ticket holder here. I put 5x on Notre Dame -2. Take that for what it's worth.

As far as ODU winning at G'town, the Monarchs just seem to have their number. They have won @ Georgetown twice in the last 3 years, both times very convincingly. But all the other good teams they have played this season (out of conference) have handled ODU, mainly because ODU has no offense aside from offensive rebounds. They are the best team in the nation in OR % (according to KenPom), so that may give them a shot if ND is off a little.

I should add that ODU's defense is NOT overrated. It is very good, even against the good teams. They are 17th in the nation in defense efficiency, which takes into account schedule, so it isn't because they have played bad teams.

Old Dominion is a very good team (they beat Georgetown this year) and will work ND over.

That's funny, you mention they beat Gtown, and seriously who else have they beat? If I recall South Florida also beat Gtown at Gtown, and then Gtown wiped their asses all over the court last week. So basically ODU beating Gtown means absolutely zero to me. ND, Ville, Marquette common denominator is medicore. Well if that's the case what's the common denominator of the Colonial conference? I can understand if you think ND is not that good, but what makes ODU good? they beat Gtown? They lost to Dayton, Miss St and Missouri. 2 of the 3 are possibly where ODU belongs, and that's the NIT. get that money ND.

I don't expect ND to lose but if they do it will be at the foul line. Two very good Ds here but scared of the O/U.

Notre Dame's tank is on empty. Its a 2 point spread for a reason. It was a good run and but it ends today. Just bought half a point to get + 3 and I love it. GL to all...

The Monarchs are definitely tough defensively and although the CAA is not a high-powered conference, ODU racked up 26 victories and should not be overlooked. Still, the Irish are a battle-tested team from the Big East and should be able to earn a spot in the second round.

"The Big East is over-rated" might be the single dumbest f**king comment that anyone could possibly say this season.

That entire conference is good.

Oh, and ODU beat Georgetown?  OK.  Georgetown beat the tar out of #1 seed and ACC champ Duke.... so does that mean that ODU would beat Duke?

Fade the Big East in this tournament and you'll lose your shirt.
