Oregon will beat Duke easily

I'm going to be practical here and not get into the matchups (although Oregon has some big advantages)

If this were not a tournament game, Oregon would be at least a 6 pt favorite. The fact that it's Duke being in the Sweet 16 and Oregon barely getting by St Joe's plays a big part in the line being so low.

It's not as if Duke had that tough of a path during the first 2 games. I believe Oregon gets it together and controls almost the entire game and wins comfortably.

Oregon certainly didn't impress in that last game and Dukie is just coming into form. They are tried and true in the big dance, that coach alone is worth a few buckets. We'll see, GL

If Oregon were in the ACC they would be ahead of Duke this year. They would have split with UNC or Virginia at best.

Looked to me like Oregon really buried a St Joe's team which is better than Duke , I assume ??? Not so fast ... but GL Bro !! I like Oregon ML only , if I play it ..imo ...

Oregon and the pac 12 is a joke coaching wins this time of year and since you said Oregon wins easily duke is a winner for me with Syracuse notre dame Oklahoma and Kansas ok clown Oregon wasn't even on the radar til a few months ago

Duke is just coming into form?  By coming into form do you mean squeaking by UNCW and Yale. What adversity these guys have faced.

Totally agree on the coach though. Head and shoulders advantage.

I think you get a little value with Oregon here as the betting public just saw Oregon struggle to pull away from a team who isn't as much on the national radar (but should be, they are a good team). Not to mention the fact that the PAC12 was obliterated and everyone is down on the conference.

In terms of XOs Oregon really spreads you out and attacks the basket. If you leave space, they will find it and get to the rim. This does not bode well for a team that plays terrible defense.

Just my opinion. I see a little value with Oregon where should be favored by over 2 possessions.

No love for Dana Altman?  Not saying he's Coach K, but coming from other coaches around the country, Altman is one of the best

No. Not in this case. Not in the NCAA tourney. You take K all day. Everyday. Hands down. Ha, you get my point.

Look, I cant stand him either. But this guy OWNS the refs. It's amazing the fear he puts in them. It's amazing the amount of physicality that Plumlee gets away with as the lone big-man down low. Not to mention Grayson Allen. He gets the most he can out of them, and he has a way of getting the most out of his players.

It just is what it is.

St Joes has a good coach that plays at a pace that makes the game uncomfortable and usually not out of control and Oregon can, will, and likes to go up tempo. Oregons defense saved them last game and some late big 3s.

Oregon actually plays some pretty decent D
Duke is a great shooting team, but Ingram and Allen will not have wide open looks and tons of second chances
Oregon can beat you any number of ways

CAPTAIN SEVEN : not on your RADAR- you were in bed when they play....Were you sleeping the night UTAH traveled to DUKIE land and WON.... as far as the JOKE... the joke was in the seeding...Sy was in a 10 in great match-up for them small 3 point shooters...ND got the play in of the 2 of # 56 &58 ranked teams..while .on the other side where only UPSTART MIA FLA was seeded the playin were ranked 27 and 10.....then AZ 12th..
Duke plays another NC team....NC and Va deserved their seeds..

CAPTAIN I think you read and listen to to many CBS broadcasters...that St Joes game was reffed like a joke...you know its pretty bad when the announcer "who Just loves the St Joes team" has to make up how the game is played on a no charge call...only to be trumped with the Tackle and scrum at the end of the game .CBS spend 5 minutes explaining flagrant 1 or 2 rules on the teleprompter..ONLY to be surprised that .. the refs were only looking at how much time to put back on the clock....for St Joes comeback.... Oh as for some real info: not comments like "PAC 12 is a JOKE"..
Here are stats straight from the NCAA standings..

DUKE vs TOP 50 >  6-7 of 13

ORE vs TOP 50  >   10-3 of 13.....

Not sure how many of those 6 wins for DUKE came after they lost their starter for season in Mid Mar...

So I looked up after that KEY injury DUKE lost to ND #36 and beat YALE #45...... so 1-1 vs TOP 50 .....and 2-3 in their last 3 TOP 50..

I got my money all on DUKE ML. Its going to be a joke. Pac 12 in the sweet 16 is the funniest thing Ive every heard and Im in California.

All this west coast hate. Love for Duke and coach K, its insane how many people post their picks based on emotion, instead of saying that theyve watched their team and cant imagine Dorsey, Benson, Bell, Brooks, Benjamin, Boucher, beating a Duke squad that relies heavily on a few guys...there should be a user rating for how many stupid comments people make
