Good teams play their best against strong teams.  Kansas State is 4-2 against strong teams (top 50 rank) in past 10 games.  If they lose, it won't be by much (definitely not 8).

One of those lines where spread seems too big and makes u want to go the other way. .. still debating here and probably a no play for me

Kansas has lost 3 games in a row - everyone assumes they are due.  BUT, they aren't playing The Citadel.  Kansas State is a quality team and are contending for conference title.  If you don't bet Kansas State, then I suggest you at least lay off Kansas.

So, it's facts you want, eh?

Kansas is 9-1 in last 10 vs Kansas St.

Kansas is 8-2 ATS last 10 against Kansas St.

Kansas is 5-0 ATS last 5 at home vs Kansas St.

Kansas St. is 0-5 last 5 in Kansas SU + ATS.

However, these are just "facts".  Who knows, K St. could lay a smackdown on Kansas 100-20.  Or the other way around.  We can all only make educated guesses on the outcome of a game.  But my educated guess looks promising.

Kansas -8 is the sharp play. The public will be salivating over getting the higher ranked, inter state rival at such a big number such as 8. A lot of things had to happen in order to get this spread at 8, especially the 3 game losing streak, but I see this as a perfect bounce back spot for Kansas. If this game was played 2 weeks ago, Kansas is a double digit favourite. I definitely think there's value with Kansas

Smells a little like the Minn/Illinois game last night.

Plenty of different angels that can play on both sides.

The facts remain, KU is free-falling right now!

KST is battle tested, playing and beating some of the top teams in the country.

The 8 spot is in fact generous, too much so... I have to think, KST is just what the DR order for the Jayhawks to get back on track. Nothing like a good rival to bring the team back in focus!

I agree.  If there's ever a game for the Jayhawks to bounce back, as you said, it's tonight.  Either way, should be a great game to watch.

Well said.  The sharp money is on Kansas.  It doesn't always win (and in fact I don't like Kansas here), but it will make more money over time than the casual bettor.

Personally, I think Kansas is could wake up.  But if they don't, they will lose this by 10+.  If I was in their locker room, and could see their demeanor and focus, I think I could tell you.  But I obviously can't.

So, I think two bets here have value.  Kansas -8 and Kansas St ML.  I could make arguments for both sides.

Kansas IS the better team, no doubt, and they may beat up on their little brother out of frustration, but I wouldn't underestimate little KS.

I'm basing my pick on Kansas State's recent record, not on Kansas' 3-game losing streak.  KSU has a record this year of playing its best against strong teams, and tonight's game will be no exception.

Usually teams don't just magically get their mojo back after an ugly 3 game losing streak. It takes a tough concerted effort to beat a solid team like K-State and then things start falling back into place. Look for a Kansas win without a cover.

I am having a hard time justifying a bet for either side,as I think it could go either way...a Kansas blowout or a KSt nailbiter and possible SU win,but my issue w this thread is that you say it is "overlooked"...come on,Joe Public is whacking the shlt outta KState right now,if anything it screams Kansas minus the (rock)chalk at home imho...GLTA

"Overlooked' refers to the Vegas oddsmakers, not Joe Public.

Just like we thanked you for your Indy @ Illinois predictions? If I remember correctly you swallowed a mouthful of chalk on that one too as Indiana lost SU as a -8.5 pt favorite to Illinois, it really isn't any surprise to see you on one of the biggest square bets of the night again? The only thing keeping me from loading up on KSTATE here is neil ropp dropped Kansas as a lean and he's been on fire lately

I make plays based on a number of things.  Indy should have run that game.

I wish I was you though.  Having never lost a wager in your life.  Must be nice.
