Incredible at home. Kevin Ware, RJ Hunter, and Ryan Harrow are studs. They have one of the best steal% ranking 6th in the country in steal efficiency whereas Texas St. turnover% ranks 324th in the country. Texas St. also struggles to score the ball ranking 322nd in offensive efficiency. Georgia State should jump out quick at home and be up by 12 at half.
Other plays:
Mercer -1.5 over VMI
Rider pick over
I am seeing a lot of people on these two teams in this forum without reasoning. I looked up some efficiency ratings on KenPom and they look like solid picks, but not sure why EVERYONE is on them. Some reasoning might sway me to actually put some on them.
KenPom on Mercer:
Mercer has been tough on the road this season, taking Georgia to 3OT, losing to Tennessee by only 10, and recently, handedly beating UNC Greensboro by 21 (ALL GAMES ON THE ROAD). Just under a month ago, Mercer beat VMI at home by 9. VMI also ranks 333rd in defensive efficiency, and ranks 300th in turnover%.
KenPom on Rider:
Rider has won its past 3 road games and its last 4 games overall. Whereas, Fairfield is 0-4 in its past four contests and only boasts a 2-5 record at home. Fairfield also struggles to score the ball ranking 315th in offensive efficiency.
