Hey guys, going to keep this short and sweet, I would suggest you take a long look at the Marshall/Memphis game. Marshall matches up very well with Memphis and Memphis is not playing good ball right now. One of their top players was suspended for mocking an assistant coach on the team bus, one of their highly touted freshman was quoted after the SMU loss as saying this is one of the dumbest things he has ever seen in basketball, and there was multiple other discipline problems during Memphis' last few practices. Coach Pastner is showing that he doesn't have any answers at the moment and really appears over his head and possibly losing this team. Playing so many players so many random minutes doesn't seem to be flying with these highly touted freshman and sophomores. Memphis is very good at home and there can be an argument that Marshall is playing a bit over their head at the moment, but they are a very focused and unified squad and the five days off appears to have served them well and gotten them "up" and ready for this game. The early money on matchbook has came in on memphis so I will happily wait and hope to get +4.5 or even +5 tomorrow morning. I rarely bet moneylines, but I might make an exception for this game as I feel Memphis is ripe for the pickings. As always, its basketball and anything can happen and nothing unifies a team more than playing well and hitting shots - something just tells me (beyond the matchups and situation which both favor Marshall - ok I'll mention that Marshall has been VERY good at defending the 3, which is the main way Memphis scores as they are very "soft" on the inside without any real presence or toughness). Marshall also gets to the line 27+ times and with Memphis having a shorter bench than usual with their injuries and suspensions - foul trouble could be an issue for Memphis as well. Marshall already has 3 road wins this season and gave Central Florida all they wanted at their place as well (a game we were on if your remember).
I see a lot of totals I will want to bet but because they aren't out yet, I'll wait to post them in the morning. Good luck with whatever you decide
