Simple analysis -
Edey will get Donovan in foul trouble early. Edey is more skilled, far more tough and much more polished. Guard play is even between the squads. Loyer v. Newton will be good.

UConn is winning that game. Purdue’s guards get wide open 3 looks all game because of the doubles on Edey. UConn won’t have to double Edey because they have Clingan and UConn elite perimeter defense will contest Purdue’s guards’ shots all game. I can’t see any way that Purdue prevails. They may cover but UConn will win the game.

UCONN plays more disciplined. This should be a ten pt victory for the Huskies. They’re a deep squad that have six that can score. Bama shot the lights out in the first half then regressed. That was the best chance to dethrone them.

Uconn by double digits. Won't be close. Purdue guards could not even get going against NC State backcourt. What do you think is going to happen when the face a much better back court with way more depth and better defense? You think Loyer and Smith will be better against UCONN? No way. Edey and Clingan is a wash. UCONN is way better everywhere else.

I don't see it guys? I just don't see it? Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't know what it is?? From my point of view, better yet eyes. I see Edey as a better player than Clingan. I see all kinds of love for Clingan. Once again, I'm taking Purdue money line. I don't play points, I don't believe in points. I believe in my team simply winning or losing. I'm making a medium play on Purdue money line. GL

Can't believe no one mentioned Hurley > Painter. I don't think anyone saying Klingan > Edey, but he can certainly play him straight up without the need to double. And whoever said the guards are even... I have no idea what you've been watching. UConn Guards are so much bigger, faster, athletic. Pur guards aren't getting wide open 3s this game. It's just not a good match up for Pur and they're not going to be able to follow the same gameplay they've used all season.

While this will be Clingan's toughest opponent thus far don't assume Edey will match him.
There was a period of the NC State game where Edey was quite against Serena Williams.

From VSIN, UCONN is 12-0 ATS in the tournament over the last two years. Whether trends are important or not, I'm not buckin' this one. UCONN has too many weapons, they remain champions after this one is over.

You are correct. That is a simple analysis. UConn does not need Clingan to play 35+ minutes. He probably will get in foul trouble. He'll play 25-30 minutes, and UConn will win by at least 15 points. Purdue backcourt nowhere near UConn's level. As usual, the Big 10, is vastly overrated.
