PURDUE @ MICHIGAN ST

This is such a tough game to call.  Both teams are going to want this game.  Winner controls their own destiny at the Big Ten title.  Michigan st. is coming off back to back lossess on the road, wile Purdue has won 5 straight. 

Bense did a nice job at noting the fact that Michigan St. is a beast on the boards, while Purdue is not that great.  They lack depth inside which could come into play.  If the MSU bigs can get JJ into foul trouble, then this game is over.  He has to play smart. 

Kalin Lucas is questionable, and if he plays I don't think he will be much of a factor not being 100%.  E'twaun Moore and Robbie Hummel will need to make their shots, they will get them.

With the spread how it is, I think its spot on.  At home, MSU is perfect, but Purdue is still a solid 8-2 on the road.  It's going to be a a battle.

The one thing I will be playing is MICHIGAN ST. 1H (2 units).  That line won't come out until the morning on my book.  Purdue is not a first half team.  It will take some time for them to get their groove and I believe this is the best bet on the entire game.

And for shits and giggles, splashing one unit on PURDUE ML.  Not expecting that to hit, I wouldn't necessarily tail me on that but feel Purdue wins this game or will lose by 7.  I would also lean UNDER in this game, and it may or may not be a play.

And btw, it's JaJuan Johnson's 21st birthday so I hope he's not hungover

   i usually dont look at the next days games until morning when i get my paper and coffee...  go to work and spend the 1st 2 hours bummin' and cappin' games on here.... im the boss so i can do that..

Coming from an MSU fan, my betting buddies and I often joke about the best way to bet on the spartans is to take the opposing team 1st half and the sparties 2nd half.  I don't have stats in front of me but Sparty is notorious for starting slow, especially at home.  They rarely cover 1st half spreads.  This is just to put a bug in your ear and offer my opinion.  By all means, I hope I'm wrong but this seems to be the way we play.  GL

well I'd say that both teams are in the same situation.  Purdue doesn't get out to great starts either and is a much better 2nd half team.  Hell they were down by 4 to IU thier last game at the half.

ha yep, 3 plays - i think under cashes as well as the 1st half....Purdue ML would be nice but not so confident in that. 

I was going to make the 4 hour drive but the snow is keeping me in as well

Because i'm getting +125 right now instead of -110 doing it your way.  But like i said, its a "shits and giggles bet" meaning if I win, great.  If not, then its not a big deal.  Which is why i have 2 units on the 1H and only 1 unit on the ML.  Lose the ML and I'm still up.  I think it will be close throughout.
