Question on Capping

I use a template within Excel that I created to cap individual games. It involves some of the major stats (FG%, FT%, 3PT%, REB, PPG, DEF PPG) along with some other stats like KenPom rating and home court advantage. I've always struggled on how to compare the stats team by team though.

Just wanted to gain some insight from cappers out there on what the main points you look at when capping an individual game and is it as simple as plugging numbers into a template and it spitting out a number or is there a lot more to it? Obviously there are certain variables that are tough to put a number on, but just interested in what you guys use to cap games.

Defensive rebounding , opponent steals, opponent assists&#x2B;oppFGMturnovers excl steals aren&#x27;t that much of a deal neither is offensive rebounding.

what is capping anyway????   you might know all the stats,  all the trends going into a game and still have a totally different outcome, every game is different. One game player shoots 60% next game he can go 2-18.  All the "capping" you need is done by the computers in Vegas.
