Before I get into my leans for Saturday, I'll mention that I'm playing Yale -2 tonight against Penn. Not gonna do a writeup unless someone is greatly interested, but I do like the Bulldogs quite a bit this evening.
Leans and projected spreads forthcoming momentarily...

Absolutely fascinating article by Pomeroy on the best actual home court advantages. Great read especially for those who do not give proper credence to the impact of altitude and elevation...

I've seen a bunch of Penn games this year and do think they're actually the slightly better team. But the Quakers are brutally undersized on the frontline and have no answer for Greg Mangano. The other main point is that Penn swept the series last season and Yale trails the Quakers by half a game right now in the Ivy standings. Penn got over a HUGE mountain on Monday night in beating Princeton, their biggest rival and recent kryptonite. I think Yale plays like the more motivated team tonight, particularly on its own floor. The blowout loss to Harvard was embarrassing, but they regrouped with a win over Dartmouth the following night and have had nearly a full week to prepare for Penn.

Clemson takes an unusually high percentage of 3 point shots, and few if any teams defend the perimeter better than VA Tech. People will be down on this team after the Duke disappointment, but I'll run to lay 5 on them against these Clemson clowns if the line comes out that low.

Jfenn any thoughts on Siena and Clevend state game. I'm gonna do a ml parlay w an nba game that I really like but can't decide. Sienna is tough at home while Clevend state is away and needs to win to stay atop while their not that good on the road. Any thoughts would b greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Cuse/St Johns With Fab Melo back. St Johns inability to shoot the 3. And Cuse's track record in the Garden. I think they are gonna play their A game and win by 20 or more.

I mean, Loyola is pretty bad, but they had a full week to prepare. Cleveland State is in the middle of a 3-game road swing and got some big revenge against Youngstown in a blowout on Saturday. Weird game, but the Vikings should certainly win.
I'd feel more comfortable with them than Siena.

Pretty much covers my angles. I also like that Syracuse will have ample opportunities to score with their devastating transition game and might get 20+ offensive rebounds against the Johnnies' zone. Expecting St. John's to make jump shots against the 'Cuse D is not reasonable.
