Good luck today, sir. I hopped on that Delaware line ASAP as well. They have a really good shot to win it straight up. Also with you on LaSalle, and might join you on a couple others.
we might be opposite on the GMU/Georgia State game. I've already locked in Mason +1. Should be a good game. I was VERY surprised by those opening #s on the CAA games.

Points of interest Neb. Minny. I remember watching you early in the year before conference play playing alot of under Minny games. Today is a good opportunity to play again. Neb. Spenser is truely in pain trying to play through it. Watched them last game against Iowa who you and I both know is not a defensive juggernut score 8 points 3-14 and 2 assists for a team 53 points. Minny is hurting also as Jullian Welch who missed there last game isnt 100% and they have been playing some very physical games lately and other players are banged up as well. Minny will play good D and 120 points to me is to many. If you have time please let me know your thoughts.

Hadn't noticed this one, but I do like it. Pace should be painfully slow and neither team can knock down jumpers with any consistency. My only concern would be if neither team is putting forth its customary effort on defense due to lack of effort. If the effort is there, though, the first one to 50 might end up winning. Definitely going to look into this further.
Thanks for pointing out LMU-San Fran last night, as well.

I nearly went 2 units on La Salle but talked myself out of it. Pretty much the best spot you could ever ask for with La Salle still in contention for a bye (isn't everyone in the A-10?) and playing on Senior Day against a Bonnies team coming off of a rather...ahem...interesting 2OT win on Wednesday that clinched a bye in Atlantic City. Major contrast in styles as La Salle will have no answers for Nicholson inside but likewise I don't expect the Bonnies guards to be able to do anything against the La Salle backcourt. I'll side with the guard-oriented team playing at home and controlling the tempo of the game.
Georgia State-Mason...Definitely a weird line. Did GSU's blowout of Hofstra really have that much of an impact? I've been down on Mason all year and just do not see a team nearly as good as its record indicates. Still, they have arguably the league's best player and plenty of tournament experience...On the down side, Paul Hewitt is the coach. Good luck today man

thoughts on UNC? is this an absolute lock? making them favorites at duke? seems line is very telling begging you to take duke as dogs at home
Hah it's definitely not a lock but the line is very telling. Sharp money pushed UNC to the favorite's role shortly after the open and I suspect that UNC ultimately wins the game. No interest for me from a betting perspective.

Best of luck today. Leaning WVU? Any thoughts? I think they match up well with USF and USF coming off the big win against Louisville. WVU struggles with jump shooting teams, and USF is not that. I think WVU needs this game much more. I don't like going against a team on senior day, but just think there might be some letdown from USF.
Please give me a good reason to not take WVU.....

Definitely lean WVU. Especially given USF coming off of the road win at Louisville.

PISCATAWAY – Long before the season even began, Mike Rice knew what
the biggest issue for his young team would be: a lack of leadership.
Without a scholarship senior, Rutgers struggled to find a leader
amongst a team that had six freshmen. Saying he had no seniors became a
regular statement to come out of Rice’s mouth.
However, he does have two seniors in Mike Kuhn and Charlie Rigoglioso.
The problem is they’re a pair of walk-ons that seldom see the court
and when they do it is typically with the game in hand. And being at
the end of the bench makes it hard to speak up and lead with your
voice.
But when Rigoglioso reached his wits end with the callow team he stood
up in the midst of a film session after Rutgers loss to Louisville and
chewed everyone out.
“He talked about what boys do and what men do and he talked about it
for about 10 minutes,” Rice said after practice this week. “It was a
spontaneous outburst that he had had enough and so it resounded amongst
our freshman because everything that boys do our freshmen did.”
“I started to get frustrated with what I saw on the film when we were
watching the film and it wasn’t physical mistakes. It was guys getting
down on themselves, guys getting tired, guys resorting to selfish ways
so I just told them to man up,” Rigoglioso recalled. “You have to carry
yourself as a man and as a player so I told them to stop acting like
boys and start manning up as basketball players. It was just out of
frustration and just something that had to be said.”
And something Rice had said to his team already on numerous occasions. But it’s different when it comes from a teammate.
“He just came at everybody and we had not had people come at
individuals this whole year and he came out like ‘you do this,’” Rice
said. “Everybody to a man respected what he had to say.”
It was the watershed moment for Rigoglioso in a career he will cap off with Kuhn on senior night.
It hasn’t been an easy journey for the two. It never is for a walk-on.
They pay their way through school while all their teammates are on a
free ride. They’re at practice everyday, dripping sweat and getting
hollered at by coaches, all the while knowing they’re not going to play
in the next game.
But they’re commodities that are needed for any team. Rigoglioso and
Kuhn make up two fifths of what Rice calls the “bomb squad.” It’s his
nickname for the scout team that prepares the team for the upcoming
opponent. It’s thankless work that goes unseen.
“We’ve contributed a lot of ways that people don’t read about in the paper or don’t see in the box score,” Kuhn said.
And they’ve done it together. Well, for the most part.
Rigoglioso left Rutgers after his freshman year to play at Division
III Moravian College for a year before deciding to return to Rutgers the
following year. An act that had Kuhn label him the “Brett Farve” of
Rutgers’ basketball. Although Rigoglioso says he’ll be calling it a
career after this season and won’t flip-flop like the Hall of Fame
quarterback.
“If they let me,” Rigoglioso quipped when asked if he was considering a
sixth year. “I’m trying to hide in college as long as I can, but I
think my dad’s like ‘alright, come on, let’s go.’”
And he and Kuhn will be going out together, ending their regular
season at home against St. John’s on Saturday on Senior Day. Fitting,
considering neither may not have made it without the other by their
side.
“Coming to Rutgers and having a guy like Charlie — a brother figure so
to speak — has been tremendous,” Kuhn said. “Charlie and I have had a
great three years together. We’ve become best friends over that time,
and it’s been a blessing.”
Sure, their collegiate careers didn’t turn out exactly how they had
pictured it. It seldom does for a walk-on. But unlike many walk-ons,
they can say they finished what they started.
“It’s not what I wanted — what I dreamed of — but I’m proud of myself,
of what me and Mike did here,” Rigoglioso said. “So yeah, it’s been a
good ride.”

Two big missed opportunities on Friday - Georgia State bet should have been double my standard wager and I completely neglected to look into the San Diego-BYU game. Live and learn. Typical big Saturday card for me....
Current Saturday Card Memphis @ Tulsa +4 (1 unit) American +9.5 @ Lehigh (1 unit) St. Bonaventure @ La Salle -3 (1 unit) Temple @ Fordham +14 (1 unit) Louisville +11 @ Syracuse (1 unit) St. John's +8 @ Rutgers (1 unit)
Three of the early plays (American, Fordham, Louisville) are posted in my 3/2 thread.
-I'm playing Georgia State again. Projecting a +5 against Mason tomorrow. I suspected before the beatdown of Hofstra that this team is on a mission and that hunch, combined with a belief that Mason is grossly overrated, makes this a must-play. Officiating and crowd will be heavily titled towards Mason, though.
-Love the matchup for Delaware against ODU but would be hesitant to pull the trigger with the injuries sustained today McCullar and McNeill. They will need frontcourt depth to counteract the bulk of ODU.
-Detroit-Cleveland State bet will be determined by the status of D'Aundray Brown. If he's out again, I'm on Detroit. No play if he suits up.
Question marks indicate my projected spreads:
Current Leans: UTEP-SMU Under 114.5, Iowa State -1.5, TCU +2, Air Force +2.5, Oregon State -4.5, Maine +9.5, Western Kentucky -2, Niagara (+9?), Butler (+2.5?)
JFen can u give me a little insight into America +9.5. I like the play as I have looked into it a little and have seen a few people saying they have a chance to with the tournament. I see they split 1-1 and +9.5 in a conference tournament setting seems like alot. any insight would be helpful.
Thanks as always and GL

Was there a full moon last nite or is this just who can have the most disgusting mouth here? Not the 1st half we were looking for as they are making jumpers from everywhere.
I am going to play over in N.W. Iowa for a few reasons. I have noticed the last month watching teams playing good defensive teams back to back and they are a good offensive team playing a good offensive team it turns into a track meet. Both teams coming off playing good defensive teams and now there shots wont be contested like they were the last few games. Also Iowa has been playing good basketball lately and you know N.W. is going to give it all they have. Iowa is also one of the worst in conference in points allowed. Over 143 any thoughts about what I wrote about playing tough defensive teams and then playing a weak defensive team ?
