I don't understand why people see a line like this and feel the need to bet that game. SDST+1.5. Vegas does not put out lines to lose money. they are in the business to make money. They want half the people to believe Boise is the pick because of the line and they know the other have will take SDST because of the "VALUE". The smart play here is no play at all find a game that doesn't smell so FISHY.. That's just my two cents but who cares.....

Absolutely inaccurate. Well, most of it. The only 'true' part is that Vegas does not put out lines to lose money; that's fairly obvious. There is nothing 'fishy' about the line. It is right where it should be with a decent Boise team who played hard vs SDSU in their last match-up. Home situational spot for Boise and the line is correct. The correct team is favored here. No mystery.
And to say that the odds-makers simply make line to split action 50-50 is a myth. Vegas takes stands on games. There is a reason Vegas has only lost on 3 Superbowls since their inception.
Vegas takes stances on games.

I believe vegas takes stances on games but what I'm saying is that sometimes they put out a line to make it appear to be easy. It never is that easy. I know that boise played them close last time but iv'e seen a lot of close games the first metting and the second time they meet the ranked team is still favored heavy. this is just a game I'm going to stay away from my pref.

Don't stay away... Davis comes back for sdsu. They control rebounds and cruise to a 68-60 victory... Great teams win these types of games. Andsan Diego state is a great team.
Boise 6-11 this yr ats and 2-7 at home ats

Very true about everything you said . The books couldve put boise -6 and a ton of people would take boise cause they think the books must know something to put boise -6 . All them against public guys and wanna be sharps would hit boise . Nowadays the books can put any line and fool people into taking a side cause of how the betting against the public has become

Lol. If the books put Boise -6 the books would be murdered by EVERYONE taking SDSU. You may have a few wannabe sharps trying to get cute, but anyone with any sense would take SDSU at +6. Vegas isnt in the business of fooling people or setting trap lines. I cant believe people still think this.
Regardless, all I was saying is that Vegas takes stands on games. They know that if they adjust this line to SDSU as a road favorite they will be pounded by professional action negating any public wagers. This line will draw the perfect amount of action from both sides. It may have more public money on SDSU, but Vegas is going to take the stance to hold the number tight to avoid whale money hitting a value home dog.
The books are not trying to fool anyone. The line is right where it should be.

Actually I would be one of the ones trying to be "cute" and would lay the chalk. In this example SDSU would be what I call my square play of the day. That's my angle.
