There's a ton of data here. If you see something that jumps out at you, please post it here for all to see. 

In 2019's 1st round, the better seeded team went 10-22 ATS. The dogs were barking!

- Over last 60 games, when the #1 Seed scores 85 or fewer points, the #1 Seed is 13-23 ATS, 6-15 ATS since 2012
- Over last 60 games, the average halftime score is #1 Seed: 39.9 points to #16 Seed 27.5 points
- At the half, when the #1 Seed trails or leads by 8 or fewer points, #1 Seed is 22-1 S/U and 4-19 ATS
- At the half, when the #1 Seed leads by 15 or more points, the #1 Seed is 23-5 ATS

Incredible! 

So how do you guess if the #1 seed will score 85 or fewer points?

#1 Seeds Scoring 

Used Away #'s for the season as nobody is playing on their home court in tourney; for what it is worth:

1.  Zags 91.1 ppg

2.  Illinois 81.3 ppg

3.  Baylor 81.2 ppg

4.  Michigan 73.3 ppg

Vs real competition, except the Zags.

You have to implement pace, style of play, height, free throw % and then some.

But I get it, obviously the 1 seeds need to cover a big # so they gotta score.

Careful with Gonzaga. From what I remember they lost ATS last 3 years or so as a #1 seed. 

That's enough data to choke a horse.

 Yep...I stubbled across it when looking for some in-depth data but never expected to find such a gold mine.

And I'm old school in that too much analysis can lead to paralysis. 

I will say and no stats to back this up. Teams playing early games as well as very late games do not play as at there best. We are dealing with teenagers etc. I like to play the mid afternoon early evening games. Teams seem to stay within there normal efforts. I.E. Points scored allowed etc.  

Damn, so much data! Thanks for the data but I don't know if I have time and energy to go thru all this.
