The South Dakota State Jackrabbits travel to Indianapolis, Indiana to take on the Summit League bottom dweller IUPUI Jaguars. Last night this same IUPUI team lost by 38 to the Taylor Braun-less NDSU team and easily covering the 13.5 point spread. In fairness IUPUI was without their leading scorer (only one of two double digit scorers for that matter in Hart) and I am uncertain what his status is for tomorrow.
I have said time and time again that I will never lay double digits with the Jacks given their inability to play defense and just not having the desire to destroy opponents like they did last year but they utterly destroyed a much better IPFW team in Frost after only having a 3 point lead. I thought my IPFW +12 was very safe after the first half given that the Jacks have the tendency to blow people out in the first half and sit on the lead in the second. Well that was not the case. This game will likely be a hard one to bet and I do still have problems laying double digits with the Jacks.
My guess the line will be:
SDSU -12.5 with Hart playing
SDSU -17.5 without Hart playing
I will post on this topic later.
