No, I&#x27;m not kidding.  Should St Louis, with one of the youngest, most inexperienced teams in the country, almost all freshmen and sophs, be a 18 point favorite over ANYBODY?  SEMS does return two senior starters and they have a quality coach in Dickie Nutt taking over.Anyone want to talk me out of this idiocy?  My books don&#x27;t have lines up yet anyway, so I&#x27;m going to bed and will read the responses in the morning before I head out to the Hokies/Terps game.TIA,SteveA

FUNNY you brought this game up. St. Lois is seriously in re-build mode. I read an article about Majeris will need to be a Magician with this squad. I have successfully timed my bet against SEMO program the last two years. My knee jerk reaction is to bet against SEMS. Not this year! Reversal. Bet against St. Lois especially on the road.

I won&#x27;t get involved with this one, but I had St. Louis favored by 21 so technically I think there is a little value on Majerus and Co.SEMoSt was the worst team in a Vegas-lined conference last year.  They lost their last 19 games of the season - only 6 were decided by single digits.  0-18 in the OVC as noted and even the best OVC teams would be non-competitive with the middle of the A-10.  Somehow they got blown out at home by Northern Illinois.  Their wins were against Longwood and W. Illinois who were two of the worst teams in the nation and those two wins were by a combined 5 points.  This team cannot be taken until they prove they have turned a corner.  Their best player got booted from the program with 5 games to go last season and the two leading scorers graduated.  Yes the Billikens are re-building but there may be no greater re-building job than what Coach Nutt has in front of him.Its a no play for this capper.

Thanks guys!  A good night&#x27;s sleep and I came to my senses, I&#x27;m passing on this one.  I usually avoid playing openers anyway, too much inconsistency in play, and today I have the built in excuse that I have to head out the door right now if I want to get a good 3 hours of tailgating in before the Hokie game, so I&#x27;ll take a pass on the entire hoops board today.

This is my team. I&#x27;ve been to about 10 practices. SEMO has 11 new players. Nutt has stressed defense and rebounding ever since he got here. This team is already a better defensive team than any in the last couple of years. Both of these teams will be much better in Jan. than they are now. For the first game of the year look for SEMO to get the cover in what should be a low scoring game.
