Like the Buddy bandwagon with Syracuse this is a trendy dog vs. a team people continue to underrate despite the fact they have blown out EVERY opponent they've beat this season except Memphis and Rutgers.
Everyone was on the Cuse after that Rutgers scrape and they closed that game out like they usually do - pulling away with a big lead.
They allow the lowest floor % of any team left and are 2nd to only the Zags in average scoring margin.
A long overdue Beaver beatdown is coming tonight. Bad news for all those who are just hopping on the Beaver bandwagon now, Houston will send them packing with a wire to wire victory.

They have played 3 top 100 teams since december 1st.
They play bad competition. The pac 12 has proven to be a berry different conference this year.
Also houston has no real frontcourt that is a threat to the beavers as a matter of fact you could make an argument the beavers big men are better then houston's So this game is going to be about gaurd play. I will take the much bigger athletic gaurds vs houston

Oregon St wins Str8up..similar defense as rutgers ( +8 Superior Schedule Defense ) but better offense..and wont choke. BOL bro with your play just the same

Disagree. Some are using a baseball theory of riding streak until it’s over
you said same thing about Loyola game to my post which is fine for your opinion. But this team is winning each game outright by 7-10 as +7 or greater dogs
Houston is a tough team no doubt and all is made of how the Beavers will score on there D but how will Houston score on the Beavers D is also a good question
Beavers have playmakers on offense and seem to avoid huge scoring droughts unlike 99% of teams
Thompson is a closer and they can feed the post whenever they want as well and play inside out
they also have a lot of depth and basically 3 guys 6 foot 10 or higher to rotate down low
think it will be close and +7.5 is another gift. Do think Houston could win tho and we might finally have a dog who covers but dosent win outright
Beavers r playing with chip on there shoulder
pac 12 is 11-1 in games not against each other in tournament SU
Beavers maybe don’t cover but fading them does not make sense with such a big number
they are nothing like Syracuse, 55 rebounds against Oklahoma state.. Houston will always have slight rebound edge but don’t think it will be that drastic
beavers also deadly at foul line and won’t play zone the entire game like the midget cuse did
has not happened often in this tourney but could be a case of a 1-7 pt houston win but beavers cover. Seems the winner of spread wins outright 90% of time even if it’s a +300 dog.
but also would not be shocked if the hottest team from the best conference as shown in tourney by miles wins this game outright like usual

The defensive rankings of the pac12 teams besides USC are all low
who cares teams like the Beavers and UCLA are playing great D now when it matters.
And both have shotmakers who don’t miss 15 shots in a row like a team like Loyola who has the gaudy defensive numbers but a bunch of stiffs who miss 19/20 shots
too much is made of “defensive matrix”
yeah no wonder Loyola gave up 55 pts per game or whatever if the Beavers played Indiana State and Missouri State every game they would allow 40 ppg

I guess u were impressed by Loyola’s strength of schedule and the fact they played mighty Drake three times and lost once to them lol for ur last disgrace fading the Beavers machine
Drake got destroyed by the conference of champions in tourney like everyone does

Keep making same mistake? in reference to ur title
if they don’t cover today someone who has been riding them since pac12 tourney falls to 6-1 taking them ATS
someone who has been riding them ML at +250 and higher every bet and spread falls to 12-2 taking them
pretty hard to go 6-1 or 12-2 just picking random games
i rode them all 3 games so far in Ncaa tourney so I’ll take my chances at going 4-0 with another ridiculous lack of respect spread against a team who plays in a shit conference who plays NO1

You make a lot of good points. And you were right about the last Oregon St game, no issue with you riding with them again. I totally get it.
But i think the dog win streak comes to an end tonight as they play a team that can score points unlike the inept shooters of Loyola who clearly couldn't handle the favorite role and thrived in that dog role and just emptied themselves out trouncing the 1 seed in state rival they crashed down to earth after.
Houston isn't a stranger to the favorite role yet they haven't really had a chance to make a statement yet, as you said having played low seeds that werent tough opponents. Beating the new poster boy for the upset tourney of 2021 could be that game. They are IMO a lot closer to the Gonzaga/Baylor/Michigan level than Oregon St is.
Their stats aren't just good because of the conference they play in, they are a tough team. But obviously with the PAC12 having 3 teams still in it and the Beavers won the conf tourney I will give them the opponent strength of schedule edge tho being in the conference of champions.
It's still a lot of points to cover so I can see why people would think the Beavers plus points again a great bet, because they have been winning SU. But when Houston wins they usually cover and I think Houston will finally knock off the valiant Beavers and they have the 2nd highest scoring margin behind the Zags, maybe again it's all to do with the lesser opponents in conference but Oregon St isn't a really high scoring team so a big win wouldn't surprise me as they usually win by 10+.

Vegas1187- Agree with 99% of your post but I think you are not giving Loyola enough credit which makes the OSU bet look even better. Loyola beat arguably the hottest team in the big ten in Illinois. They were playing better than Michigan and Loyola dismantled them. Loyola executes well in a half-court set and they struggled heavily down the stretch. OSU has already proven they can beat the physical and athletic teams and if they can beat the teams that also execute what chance does Houston have.

The Beavers were not even close to the bubble entering the Pac-12 Tournament, but they picked up some upsets en route to winning the title as a fifth seed. They picked up where they left off in the NCAA Tournament, upsetting fifth-seeded Tennessee and fourth-seeded Oklahoma State in the opening weekend. Their run continued on Saturday, as they knocked off eighth-seeded Loyola Chicago. They have not been a good shooting team on the whole this year, ranking No. 222 in effective field goal percentage.

Houston opened as an 8.5-point favorite before the line dipped by a point after some early betting action. I love the Cougars in this spot, though. They are going to be the best team Oregon State has faced all season. Sure, the Beavers have been playing some excellent basketball, but the numbers make Houston a 9-point favorite. The “Cinderella” aspect of March Madness has provided some value on the favorite in this spot. Houston has a defense that can shut down Oregon State and it will be too much to handle on the offensive glass

Well..... OK...OK... I get it you think Loyola may have been a tad hyped ( I somewhat agree)... But not sold like you but THEN this Oregon State team also beat TENNESSEE... and OAK STATE... by double digits.. Hmm.. Houston that much better then Oak St ??... Do not think so ( In fact IMO Oak St better).. Who has Houston. beat ?... All double digit seeds.. In fact this will be their 4th straight DD seed game opposition a NCAAA record never happened before in the History of the tourney.. In fact all year Houston played one team in the tourney a average Texas Tech team and won by 10.. Hard to get a handle on this team IMO... Shooting suspect but hit the boards to make up for it.. Can go into some scoring droughts if not getting rebounds.. Great defense I quess because hard to tell with schedule IMO.. Memphis best team they played ( NIT team) And Memphis scored but lost both games but they were nail biters.. Now give 7.5... well..... GL.. Could happen for sure but IMO you are undervaluing the Beavers by just mentioning Loyola.. IMO GL
