Second, this is a 5* game for him. Other than yesterday, I believe that's been his highest wager a couple of times this season.
Third, he is very schooled on teams in Illinois and his reasoning is of value to me. I enjoyed his lengthy writeup but I didn't need him to go to such lengths.

Thanks for the insight Neil. My old self would go with Wisconsin too but after getting burned so many times with road favorites, I have decided to be smarter with my money for now.
Not touching this one because Illinois will bring "energy" due to the home crowd and I've seen too many times how a raucous crowd can intimidate even the veteran teams and players and motivate a less skilled team to perform better than expected. Sometimes for just a half or sometimes for the whole game too.
I do think that road teams play better and win more games on the road in February instead of December and early January. GL

Line shows how big a dog Illinois really is playing at home and getting 1 to 1.5. Tough place to play granted but Wisky has been in this situation many times. Noticed last few games them taking shots when open right away rather than work the clock which made for 3 straight wins.
Think about how Illinois has won there 4 conference games. OT against Minny blowing a 13 point lead with 12 minutes to play. Beat N.W. somehow with N.W. scoring 9 points in 18.36 of 2nd half. Against Nebraska Bertrand has the game of his life going for 25, and then Paul's amazing performance against Ohio St.
Im playing Wisc and seriously could see them win by double digits as they are the master of the half court.
