Or until I get discouraged, bored, my girlfriend (about to be wife) starts to demand more time, etc, etc, etc...
First...A little about myself. I'm a one sport guy and that sport is...drumroll...FOOTBALL. I do very little CBB research. I couldn't name one college basketball player. I don't know who's good or who sucks other than by looking at the rankings and records. I lack discipline and often chase my losses and I'm not averse to whipping a full wine glass off my deck into a tree when say...Butler hits a buzzer beater and costs me 800 as happened a few years back. Bottom line...Don't tail me.
I bet using my simple little teaser system. Four years back, knowing nothing about CBB, I cleared about 6K following my strategy and then spent two weeks in Thailand on it. Admittedly, the years since then weren't quite as lucrative. Got off to slow starts then walked away early in the season. But this year, I've had some success with football and with that season winding down figured I'd stick my pinky toe in the CBB water and check the temp. Plus...what the heck...Its kind of fun.
Yesterday, I made my first CBB bet (two actually) in a couple years. Very small wagers...both teasers 1.0 units (10 pts) and 0.50 units (8 pts). I hit both. So I figure...I'll keep trying.
The strategy is easy. I don't take unnecessary risks. I don't bet on evenly matched teams. I look for home teams favored by 10 points ideally (I'll consider 9-13 points if other factors are favorable...but will get screwed on the 12-13 pt spreads and hate myself for including it them at least 3 times this season). I then look at the home and away records of both teams. On a Saturday, there's no shortage of options. I'll dig into those options and narrow it down to my three or four favorite and tease them 8 to 10 points. It doesn't always go according to plan, but I've had success with it in the past. It takes patience and being satisfied with small, incremental gains each week...which I've pointed out, I'm not always good at. But I've seemed to find my mojo this season with football and want to see if I can carry that over to CBB. We'll see how it goes.
Good luck to everyone.

If I could figure out how to post the tickets on here I would. Keep getting an error message telling me my post is over 7800 characters...which it is not. In any event, if I was going to lie about my results, I would say I was up by more than 128 bucks.

Only because I didn't get to post my picks prior to the games being played and I wanted to verify what I was claiming. Seems like no matter what I try, I get an error stating I'm over 7800 characters.

I think the dreaded girlfriend curse is going to strike tonight. She was hurrying me during my decision making process because it was time for dinner...but here goes anyway. I'll keep it small...
