Total in BYU/Southern Miss

Question

152 is the highest total for BYU since they played St. Mary's in mid January. Southern Miss has never had a total this high this season. The total seems to be a reaction to BYU scoring 90 points the last two games. They have 2 great players in Davies and Hawes, and Carlino has been red hot. But these games were at home.

Southern Miss. has a tough defense holding LA Tech last game to 52. They have a number of players who can score. The place should be rockin even more than last game.

The total seems to suggest that Vegas believes that both teams will score since both will need to get to 152. Like to think BYU can hang with 6 or 5.5. Still thinking about this game.

Both score at will. BYU plays no D. They will be dropping 3s left and right. If they are making them this will sail over. If not, it won&#39;t. BYU on the road definitely scores less than at home but if their foe runs at all they are always above 70. The game at SMC, BYU was just off an had a ton of turnovers an fouls and didn&#39;t get into a flow. So we will see. I think BYU wins and it goes over but no play yet

You might be right.  It could just come down to BYU hitting their 3s.  If they do, maybe 152 is in reach.  If they don&#x27;t, they probably don&#x27;t cover and it goes under.  Southern Miss. played alot of zone against LA Tech.  It will be interesting to see if they do the same tonight.

[/Quote]They pushed it with Memphis in 2 of their 3 match ups this year.  This is NIT, I think they&#x27;ll be loose, at home. and they&#x27;ll be more than happy to run with a bunch of white kids.
