Guys, I'm sorry I got off to such a slow, crappy start.  I'm going to look to turn it around with some solid 2H plays and maybe a few FG plays.

Let's get it done.

About UCONN...
 
They're assholes. they played a canadian college a few years ago (Concordia) and did the same fucking thing in an exhibition. They were dunking in kids faces when they were up by 50. Calhoun was arguing calls with the refs when the game was out of reach, and that was during a pointless game. They enjoyed this thrashing, i hope it comes back on them.

Not sure if you guys have seen Minn play... I've watched a few of their games.

They are a really defensive oriented team that holds the ball for a long time.  Typical big 10 team.  I don't know about the total for the game, but I definitely would not take the over in 1H.  If I were still playing 1H totals, I would take the under.

Guys, I'm a pac 10 guy and I'm starting to really like UCLA in their matchup.  We have some time before tip so throw some ideas out there. 

They raped their last opening round opponents the last few years:

03/20/08 Mississippi Valley State (N) W 70-29 NCAA Tournament W -31.5 U 125.5


03/15/07 Weber St. (N) W 70-42 NCAA Tournament W -20 U 127.5

03/16/06 Belmont (N) W 78-44 NCAA Tournament W -16.5 U 135

I'm just no that familiar with VCU.  I know UCLA very well.  So if you know how VCU typically plays, let me know.

I believe VCU plays a fast past game, they have a really good point guard so it should be a good matchup at PG.

That Texas game looks like its going to be close.. i would go Under 1H and Over game.. but still lots of time to look @ that 1
 
Looking more @ Clemson O64 1H.. what do you think about it Joe.. fit your system? if not whats ur system project the total @?
 
This looks like a better play than texas.. It's most likely my play for 7pm games

Tex was playing their best ball at the beginning of the year.  That's when they beat UCLA and ranked the highest.  AJ hasn't been able to carry his team like other guards have been able to.  A little undersized and a little too streaky.  Hard to back them in this spot, even though Minn hasn't been playing great lately either.

I just like Big 10 teams better than Big 12 teams if we are not talking about the cream of the crop.  BTW - I don't think Oklahoma is a very good team to back right now either.

Lot on money being played on UCLA, line has gone up 2.5 at some books.
 
VCU is a team that likes to score some points.  They primarily rely on Erik MAynor, who is a guard that can score on the same level as Tyrese Rice or Eric Gordon (last year).  He is the player that led VCU to the first round upset of Duke two years ago.  VCU also has a shot blocker named Sanders.  I think he is a non factor in this game, b/c Howland should be able to get him in foul trouble.
 
I have UCLA pick in my bracket, but the line scares me...for only one reason.  Maynor is one of these kids that can hit four threes in the last minute after they foul.  (see Northern Iowa against Purdue today).  I just think there is too great a chance that UCLA is up by 12 with 2 mins left and VCU is able to foul and trade threes to make it a moose and a UCLA 6-7 point win.
